I guess when you use a direct portal instead of moving through the blind eternities you don't get shrunk down on Segovia. (That or WotC ignored how Segovia works for the lulz.)
Also, Segovia has underwater cities. That's actually interesting. Kind of sad they didn't at least tell the artist to put a Segovian Leviathan in the art somewhere.

And the serpent is a centipede

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

Huh, you're right. Wonder if the types got flipped by accident. Caetus does look like a Magic "Kraken". (Which come in many forms but often include arthropod features, such as crabs or in this case centipedes.)
And that is going straight in my Jalira Rigged Polymorph deck. It's a noncreature in the library that gives tokens to polymorph, and the backside can untap Jalira for a second activation.
Alright so I LOVE AND ADORE this card! Sea monster support, and so adorable at that. Haha, Segovia amuses me. I love that they made its support blue and sea monster focused, since Nicol Bolas documented the plane's largely aquatic nature. The krakens and one of Segovia's top marine predators being these tiny 1/1 and 3/3 respectively is just so adorable, I can't get over how much I love it hahah! The artwork is absolutely exceptional - they are so adorable! Truly beautiful sea creatures. Caetus, Sea Tyrant of Segovia is such a brilliant title, and I love the name Caetus, because it reminds me of Cetus from Greek mythology. I'm surprised they hadn't saved this name for a Theros legend, but I love this card, so I am glad to see such a thematic name a title on such a neat little sea creature. My only point of contention is that the artwork for Caetus specifically resembles a centipede dropped in water, rather than a sea serpent.
Granted, many marine creatures are arthropods, but I'd have appreciated a little more aquatic influence in his features. For example, Awoken Horror is similarly inspired by centipedes, but its appendages are crustacean inspired, with a similar design for Hullbreaker Horror. In this case, there isn't a clear distinction between Insecta and the marine origin of Caetus - or if there is, the artwork is too distant to distinguish the details.
I want to think that the event depicted on this card is the entirety of the invasion of Segovia. Some Phyrexian just got his foot stuck in a tiny Realmbreaker portal. That's it.

And once again the creative department will run late hours to explain away a mix-up for Segovian creatures.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Probably the most funny Segovian-themed card so far.
Let this great clan rest in peace (2001-2011)
Fun how you tied it into the Convoke theme to make use of those wee little krakens.

Yes, the card really should have created 1/1 serpents, and Caetus should have been a Kraken, probably. Perhaps the artwork of the token will clarify?
WHERE IS INVASION OF THEROS? I hope it's blue, or at least green or Simic.
