The March of the Machine debut stream starts around 5 minutes after this thread goes up. If you don't want to look at the accidentally-posted Forbes article, this post will be updated during and after the show to present all the cards previewed during the show. This mostly exists to show the back faces of those Battles we saw earlier today.
All the battles are meant to be playable for their enters the battlefield abilities... I think Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines is going to become even more popular (and hated).
Etali: why in the world would they not include “if you cast it” for Etali's ETB you can flicker it for more spells plus the flip side makes it blightsteel colossus two
The realmbreaker: oh that first ability is so gross you get to steal lands with that and as for the second…… really? Not phyrexian for the ability and choose praetor instead?
Final sword: the very last sword is essentially mission briefing on combat damage (worse since it’s 2 or less mana value)
borborygmos + Fblthp: the prophecy has been fulfilled with getting these two together and the abi……”deals twice that much damage to target creature” they will never stop making stupid mistakes now we are forced to use stuffy doll and brash taunter (enrage abilties) creatures with this ultima duo (it could have said “nonbattle permanent”)
Glissa 3: good grief that third choice is just beyond nasty in phyrexian tribal
elesh Norn 3: (front) man this will make Purphoros, God of the Forge players cry because elesh punishes decks that want to deal heavy damages. (Saga) ten power on chapter 1 is ridiculously good chapter 2…oh boy that’s gonna get hairy… chapter 3 ……… jeeeeeeez that could be the game ender if not too many indestructible creatures (you likely have quite a bit of infect/toxic phyrexians in play not summoning sick.)
So for the activated flip phyrexians, we've seen W-WU, R-RG and G-GW with Ayara likely being B-BR. So which blue character goes to blue/black?
Edit: also, don't see this mentioned yet, but the art shown also confirms a Phyrexian Gargantua reprint.
I was going to point out both of these things! And do you think we're also getting a cycle of legends flipping to enemy pairs? There may not be enough legend/rare slots for it, based on the fact that we need the rest of the color pair team-ups completed as well.
So far we have two Theros legends, an Ixalan legend, and an Eldraine legend flipping. My guess is the fifth won't be from Theros, and some blue legends would seem to be ruled out (Baral, Emry?). Maybe one of the blue Kaldheim gods?

Between avoiding even more Theros characters, characters we already have as other cards (either directly in the set or the legends sheet) and characters that I just don't think are noteworthy or memorable enough, I think it might be one of the following (just personal opinion):
I wonder if it wouldn't be a blue dean because moving into black would move it away from a strixhaven color pair - or that could be exactly why they'd do it! An evil Orvar would be cool too.
I do expect to see one corrupted Kaldheim god or legendary, even if not a flip card, since it figures fairly prominently in the story of how Phyrexia got to spread, and the Kaldheim gods seem particularly corruptible since they don't function the way some other plane's gods do.

Yeah, because blinking a 7-drop to get free spells is soooo game-breakingly degenerate.
Wait, so you're mad at Wizards because people can easily abuse Etali's ETB trigger, but then you're also mad at them because people CAN'T easily abuse Borborygmos and Fblthp's trigger?
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Kari is not blue...
one I missed
I was talking about the blue dragon
Not a bad list. "Orvar, the One-Form". <.<
We already know Phyrexia converted a bunch of deans, but IIRC only Nassari and Shaile were confirmed, neither blue.

I mean, putting up to fifteen praetors into play (plus any changelings that you might also have) is probably going to win the game by itself. -shrug- Anything else after that is just win-more.
Seriously, what are a bunch of extra Phyrexian creatures going to do when you already have Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, and every other praetor in play?
