Incubate creates a transforming token hinted on by MaRo. Incubate X creates the artifact tokens and puts X +1/+1 counters on it. It transforms into 0/0 Phyrexian for 2.
Backup X lets you put X counters on any target creature when ETB. If it is not the one with the ability, it basically gains the rest of the textbox if the backupping creature until EOT.
New commanders:
Brimaz, Blight of Oreskos: White/Black Phyrexian Cat with incubate ability.
Gimbal, Gremlin Prodigy: Green/Blue/Red Gremlin Artificer that gives all artifact creatures trample.
Bright-Palm, Soul Awakener: Red/Green/White Fox Shaman with backup 1.
Kasla, the Broken Halo: Blue/Red/White Angel Ally with convoke, flying, vigilance, and haste.
Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir: White/Blue/Black Human Knight with eminence, flying, and first strike.
New planes with new wording "chaos ensues" - can be triggered both by chaos roll on planar die, but probably also by other ways.
Here goes all the hope to have a different take on the Angel tribe. In addition I don't really get how that deck should work... The decks only have 8 new cards outside the 2 new commanders... Blue and red have 3 cards with convoke in total. There are 2 artifacts with convoke both bad. Most white cards are limited fillers. So is the deck full of french/vanillas with convoke to get the commander trigger?
Hah well even if that's the case I'll still watch the preview video all the same.
Invasion of Ergamon. I guess that's our plane that's never been featured on a card before. I know little of it in the lore, but cool to see a visual of it all teh same. Maybe a hint at a future visit?
And that's an amazing showcase frame for Ravnican cards. If we get a Ravnica IV I hope that's what they do.
The art feels like it will be quite dark this go around. I'm curious by what the other previews will occur outside of the stream today.

All of the commanders seem very mediocre, esp. the Kitsune and the Angel.
Also today I learned that the plane Ergamon existed, at first I thought it was neat hint at an upcoming new plane. But WotC doesn't do cool things like that anymore...

Ergamon is mentioned in the very first magic story ever - Roreca's Tale, in the Pocket Player's Guide in 1994:
After Cabralin, Ilcae, Mirrankkar and couple of other planes mentioned in the same time were just mentioned in Tezzeret's story as compleated in passing, it is nice to see at least one "live"...
From the other hints from MaRo and Gavin, we have (if I see correctly):
- card with eminence (Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir)
- transforming DFC token
- Raccoon Warrior
- Card caring about Phyrexians (Norn's Crusader)

Yeah, I hadn't heard of Ergamon either. What I'm waiting for is more references to Equilor!
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
These are supposedly all of today's spoilers (not including the backs of those Battles), because Forbes published around 12 hour too early again.
This has happened with Forbes before? You would think WotC would clamp down on them after the first time.
Wizards stopped giving them preview cards. That's about as much as they can do.
They can't just stop sending them early info entirely?
Anyway, backup looks neat, should be cool to see what they do with it. Kinda surprised they didn't hold back the new eminence ability more, that could be a lot of free looting.
Battle-Boon Valkyrie is just a rare? Wow. It's either a a baneslayer (5/5 flying, first strike, lifelink) or it's a 4/4 version that lets another creature swing that turn for an amazing lifelinking attack. Bomb rare for limited, at the very least.
I find it hard to believe these are the only cards we are getting today, since there is no big new (non-Commander) legend/storyline card reveal other than invasion of new phyrexia. But I guess we'll see soon enough!

If I had to guess I would say Autumn Willow, but Eron is basically my brother's favorite creature so we're all in on him. He actually insists we let Eron be his "sub-commander" since he definitely has to have Eron as his commander but he doesn't want to just be limited to red lol I call him Sub-Commandante

Article on forbes has been taken down already (or rather the content removed for the time being.)
So, what are the odds that the backside of Invasion of New Phyrexia is Teferi?
By my current count we will at least get 20 battles: One uncommon per colour, 2 rare per colour, and one allied colour uncommon cycle, though I'm fairly sure there will be an uncommon enemy-colour cycle as well and very likely 2 uncommons per colour. So 30 or more. Maybe we'll even get 10 tri-coloured battles at rare, because multi-colour seems to be a subtheme of the set.
The New Phyrexia one is probably a special case and doesn't fit into any cycles.

Also, watch the backside of Invasion of Ikoria being the red shark beast thing. It's the only (non-phyrexian) monster in the artwork that hadn't been seen on another card yet. (They probably gave the artist a couple of cards as references instead of the styleguide, is my guess.)

Probably. A friend of mine sent me the Merciless Repurposing, because it was listed on cardmarket already.
A quick googling directed me to the article.

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
Backup is perhaps a tiny bit more clunky but has some cool uses.
The battles look interesting. Invasion of New Phyrexia is also a funny twist on the invader/invaded relationship.
RUNIN: Norse mythology set (awaiting further playtesting)
FATE of ALARA: Multicolour factions (currently on hiatus)
Contibutor to the Pyrulea community set
I'm here to tell you that all your set mechanics are bad

See above. It has kinda symbolic importance. It is an ancient reference, not just a random thought-up plane like Belenon or Xerex...

I'm gunning for Autumn Willow or Ravi but the Goblin King might be the one we see.

Obelisk of Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurd is not that bad if the deck is kinda Angel Tribal themed
If I had to guess I would say Autumn Willow, but Eron is basically my brother's favorite creature so we're all in on him. Yeah if but there are only two Angels with actual convoke so I don't have any hope that deck will have many of them and less an angel theme.

My guess is a new Soraya the Falconer for bird tribal.
