And more screenshots, almost to the end of the screenshots.
If those sol rings have that flavor text, they really need to make a print the one ring with the rest of the verse.

Not gonna lie, Tom Bombadil is one of my least fav characters in LotR, but I will reluctantly use him as my Saga commander that is currently headed by Go-Shintai of Life's Origin. I will be using the Ring Framed version, I much prefer to see as little of Tom as possible when playing lol. I def enjoy both abilities; hexproof and indestructible will be active most of the time, and the pseudo-cascade when a saga ends is amazing. And with all the new proliferate cards, ending a saga on other players' turns will be much easier to trigger the reveal. Looking forward to this as Go-Shintai was decent, but this is far more on flavor and power.
Thank you for adding. Some of the cards were already shared in another thread (the map lands). There are a few repeats, but I believe you filled in the gaps I missed.

Those are brand new map lands. We're getting two of each basic.
Well, those arts are sweet, and Azorius decks can become even more annoying now, improved Remand in White, which means Orzhov decks or Mono-W Humans can bounce your spells for a massive tempo gain, for extra annoyance make sure to combine it with Thalia and enjoy the sabotage.

Oh, ok. That's cool. I'm pretty meh on the map lands... Maybe if they have that part of the map a red hue and a mini illustration of the mountains on the maps they would stand out more as "land" of each color. It was already pointed out in the other thread's interview link that the mountain was green (and not red). I hope regular lands are also created showing the various areas of the map lands, showing an artists rendition of the particular part of the map.
The film did a great job showing the bogs w/ the corpses in them that Frodo & Gollum go through. An artists rendition of that swamp below Mount Doom would be awesome.
It was hard to listen in on the stream as I am a substitute teacher (watched w/o volume & took the screenshots). Was it explained what "tempted by the ring" entails as a mechanic?
More screenshots. Hope this is clear enough to read, came off my phone.
I recognize some of the commanders, but is Legolas the Jeskai one? And who is the simic one?
BTW WTF MODERN LEGAL COUNTER + DRAW IN WHITE? AT 2MV????
It's basically a colorshifted Remand. Remand itself has fallen out of favor, but I guess in white it might be more in demand. Glad they gave it a nice, generic name.
I think I've learned to treat Magic cards like baseball cards: keep 'em in a binder in numerical order, don't play with 'em, try to finish the set and just keep my head down.
I think they just legitimately broke the world record for the most espensive mtg card (I’m next to certain it’s value will be 6 figures)
Looking at sam in the commander deck since it’s abzan that pretty much means it will have pretty much every food synergy card except Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar (due to red)
And out of all the most flavorful cards ever mount doom is clearly the new record holder of the most flavorful card (you sacrifice the one ring the two surviving creatures presents as sam and Frodo)
And Reprieve……:gaping: tha… that’s… :gaping:……… a white Remand!!! And it’s modern legal…and it’s defeats cavern of souls and supreme verdict when remand doesn't

The fatal flaw in WOTC's plan is if someone opens it within the week the set is released. I wonder what the effect on collector boosters would be if that happened.

Sauron being a 4/4 bugs me. Isn't he supposed to be a massive battlefield threat?
Also, he actively loses in combat to Teysa Karlov... a lawyer with a bad leg. Lawayers canonically greater that the Dark Lord of Ultimate Evil. Take that Tolkien.

Pretty sure its meant to represent the mouth of sauron, or possibly his form before empowerment via the one ring.
Oh man, Rohan is the coolest faction in the lcg, so i'm most excited for that deck

Latest proof this forum is a trashfire:

Opening a Golden Ticket in a Wonka Bar has greater odds. Whomever opens it better get it graded right away. And it better be a 10/10... Imagine opening it up, but it has roller marks or is crimped. Then off to the safety deposit box, covered with lasers and one of those temperature gauges to set off an alarm of the safety deposit boxes base temperature changes
This will eventually go on lease to the Smithsonian a century from now.
Did anybody explained what "The Rings tempt you" is all about? Because from the cards we saw it's clear i't not simply a marker but a dungeon-like mechanic.
sorry Blake saids they not revealing what that does yet.

Not it si said to be released with the rest of the mechanics of the set later.

He just sits in his tower for the entire trilogy, so there's not a whole lot to go on for his physical ability. He's a manipulator, not necessarily the best fighter around. That said, power and toughness doesn't make sense narratively, welcome to Magic: the Gathering.

Direct combat isn't really his thing. Aside from that being the Commander precon version and probably very different from the main set version, this is also the Lidless Eye, so pretty much his weakest form at least for fighting someone. In the book, he fought one human and one elf, and all three died. given how many legends of those types are 2/2 or similar, that stat line is a bit of a flavor win. But yeah, in the books, he got killed by a dude and an elf, he had previously lost to an elf and her dog, he ran a bunch of times. he should have some ability to come back, but 4/4 at leas in those last days make sense.
And like i mentioned, fighting wasn't the source of his power. It doesn't matter if you have a 6/6 that can beat him, it has to beat the army of small stuff every Rakdos deck brings first, and also the Ghalta he stole from someone at the table
I would have given him some synergy with the Ring or something, I would not call the whole card a flavor win (we will see the other version) but what's there is solid flavor

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.

Looks like an awesome Saga Commander that looks a lot of fun.
This is from the current stream (getting as many screenshots as I can):
