As far as the comparison to telling time: obviously it depends. Do you like only 1 of the 3 cards or two? Do you have GY synergies? In any case, TT was never an all-star. Pioneer and modern have better alternatives.
Btw for those who missed it, in her art, Sheoldred is riding Drivnod.
I can go further than that for other stuff
chandra Is crying in both planeswalker arts and the borderless one might have halo helping her making that sunsized fireball (easily could be from finding out about nissa and Jace.)
The big compleated dragon on the “invasion of tarkir” art is on further inspection that’s likely not kolaghan when you compare the noses with this
In jin gitaxias borderless art saga side he went back to kamigawa.
The orzhov commander deck face commander… its Brimaz, King of Oreskos the phyrexian caught him.
In the normal compleated omnath art his tentacles might be entering the portals (he might have taken the helm of the realmbreaker)
The yellow dragon in the “invasion of mercadia” art if you look at the horns…is it Ramos, Dragon Engine? The horns are the same.
In the “invasion of alara” art there’s a viashino holding a axe…however… if we look at the spikes back and a staff in the left hand…… that might be Yurlok of Scorch Thrash
Regarding your Point #7. I've wondered when they would incorporate Mercadia into the storyline. Yes sure the OG block wasn't that well-perceived, but they could do so much more with it using modern storytelling or design measures.
I don't know how this will unfold, but what I want to know is if the death of the Kenrith parental unit happened, will this cause Rowan and Will to go on a perhaps vengeful pursuit of whoever it was that offed them? IIRC Garruk vowed to protect the twins for Algenus...Throne of Eldraine
The OG Eldraine story said it was the start of a new planeswalker arc, but there were no real indications of that occurring, and doesn't seem to be tied to the Phyrexian plot happening now.
Will Wilds of Eldraine continue on with this new arc?

Relevant note: assuming Eldraine operates as a hereditary monarchy, either Will or Rowan is probably supposed to take the throne.

Even in standard, does one card to graveyard beat the deeper look on Impulse or the proliferate on Experimental Augury?

I don't believe they do per say, the Questing Beast give the High Quest to two candidates who will be named high king and/or high queen if they win (with it implying they would co-rule and don't need to be married/romantically linked to each other). Linden mentions in the Eldraine book something about how the old ruling family wasn't very good and implied they either lost the right to the throne or they died off as a result of their abuse of power. So not sure if the questing beast will give someone else the high quest (or if it lives after the war) or if the twins (or siblings) will take the throne.

Well, the Questing Beast specifically dislikes planeswalkers if the card is to be believed, so maybe they're off the hook.
