Hargh, I confused Krark-Clan Ironworks with Ashnod's Altar in my head in terms of secondary market value... Thought "so it's only one card that holds value, but at least it's one banger." How wrong I was.
I looked for the "Lovesac bundle" and it was deleted from reddit as a fake. Seemed to have contained a... chair??
If it's to be trusted, the following are the facts:
- The nearly 1000$ bean bag from Lovesac is real. It's covered with pictures of Magic cards and is 30th Anniversary branded. You can also buy the bag without stuffing - for 400$. In both cases, you get a box of ONE to go with it (draft, set, do not know). You actually can't buy it without the box.
- The Secret Lair is FAKE. Obviously someone saw the actual bean bag and had a clever idea. The cards are thematically related even if pretty much worthless. The pictures seem to be AI-generated.
I strongly assume the deleted thing on Reddit I initially came across was about the Secret Lair, which was known to be fake then already.

Crazy thing is here in MN at the Mall of America, the Lovesac store often has way more people than I'd expect in a store selling bean bag chairs; but it is usually younger people/college age. Perhaps MtG could be on their radar. Sit around playing EDH on a coffee table; everyone sitting in bean bag chairs.
Magic has made it to the accessorizing stage on a hardcore level. From a business perspective this is an excellent way to diversify revenue streams. From a player/user standpoint, it could be seen as excessive but then again, a customized experience is for those who want it. Price point is...interesting.

Imagine lounging in that MTG Lovesac while sorting cards, and then you drop some. You're too afraid to move around trying to locate them because you might sit on them.
On the Lovesac site it seems to be quite real.

Well, that's a beanbag with Magic artwork by a company called Lovesac. Not sure if it's directly related to the Valentine's Secret Lair?
It's related, though why they decided to make both of these crossover products near worth no value for what you're paying for is the real question.

$400 for what's essentially a proxy bean bag.
