Mirrex
Land - Sphere (Rare) T: Add C. T: Add one mana of any color. Activate only if Mirrex entered the battlefield this turn. 3, T: Create a 1/1 colorless Phyrexian Mite artifact creature token with toxic 1 and “This creature can’t block.” (Players dealt combat damage by it also get a poison counter.)
Our next pair is the proliferate Zombify and another Sphere that really shows how far gone the Glimmervoid is.
I want Mirrex to be good in Modern, but I'm surprised how little pressure its Mite tokens have been putting on opponents so far. Maybe I just haven't found the right home for it yet, but it's starting to look like it's competing unfavourably with mainlands and even Sokenzan, Crucible of Defiance.
