Oh I was hoping for some crazy expensive mono white mythic Angel like 7 - 9 cc xD...
Phyrexian Exemplar is better I guess. Redirecting damage on a mono white creature? Was more a red thing isn't it? Blazing Sunsteel, Ill-Tempered Loner, Brash Taunter. Hmm Boros Reckoner and Spitemare are hybrid I guess. I thought it was because of the damage redirecting instants in white.
That Basilica Shepherd artwork was so cool and epic. A shame that is just a common.

Well white is more about preventing/redirecting damage while red is more about damage retaliation, that would be the difference, Red cards normally recieve the damage first then hit you with their pain.
"Do you hear that, Mr. Anderson? That is the sound of inevitability."
Now THAT's a Mythic!
And I confirm: it redirects any damage dealt to it to any target. Just add Pestilence.
Also, not sure of the name Exemplar. I find the German name of Supreme Exemplar is just Exemplar too. Whereas Verfechter(in) translates back to Advocate or Assertor. The latter would be a nice mirror to Obliterator.

Phyrexian Exemplar only needed to be an efficient flying cow to be playable in a format where Lay Down Arms exists. Just like Phyrexian Obliterator the card might as well read "unblockable 5/5" 90% of the time, and that's fine. Yes there are some cute synergies you can do and unlike Obliterator you don't necessarily need to bend backwards to fit them in your mana base since White is secondary in damage spells and also has Pariah effects but really that's just a bonus.
Cankerbloom is just generically good, not much else to say. Could be significant sideboard in Scales decks as well.

Compared to Obliterator, this is much more "blockable" most of the time. Having trample makes Obliterator worse to deal with because even if you throw something in the way, you still take damage and have to sac more permanents, and if you try to block with enough creatures to soak up the trample, you're likely to clear your entire board as well. This Exemplar/Vindicator not only is possible to chump with small creatures, but as the ability only hits a single target, its "only" a 2-for-1 at worst, and at best quasi-trample based on your blocker's power.
It is still a helluva card, but I think its going to be a lot less brutal than the Obliterator.
edit - didn't think of the other side of the battle, I guess I would hate to attack into this guy.
Wait a minute are you telling me they may have potentially started a phyrexian obliterator super-cycle?
Because this is most definitely a white one it cost WWWW and has a dealt damage effect with a serve punishment.
I hope we see the green, blue, and red ones in “March of the machines” because I know it’s not happening here because I know the last mythics is “Ichormoon guantlet” and “Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus”
oh by the way you put Guilty Conscience on this..the game just instantly ends the moment it gets dealt damage with this on it causes a infinite loop similar to Marauding Raptor + polyraptor so if there’s even one Glacial Chasm effect that’s not you it’s a draw.

I disagree. Obliterator folds to small Deathtouchers and lategame you can block and sac excess lands just fine if you really need to. This folds to only one thing - small fliers - since any big lategame threat that could block it like, say, Titan of Industry can't ever block it either. The drawback of blocking Obliterator is far more severe, true, but the window when it's safe to do so are far more limited with Exemplar, which IMO makes both comparable.
I’m surprised Phyrexian Vindicator isn’t an phyrexian angel, given similar abilities have been on angels in the past like flameblade angel. I guess they really wanted to hammer home the notion that this is a part of a phyrexian obliterator super cycle.
Phyrexian Vindicator is hilariously good against Modern's UR and mono-red decks, and it doesn't even do too badly against white-splashing decks unless those decks go 4 or more colours (the primary white removal in Modern is now Prismatic Ending and Leyline Binding ).

(EDIT: English versions updated. It's called Phyrexian Vindicator.)
In the Fair Basilica, Elesh Norn elevates Dawn Elemental to Obliterator status. Meanwhile, in the Hunter Maze, Vorinclex grows his own Return to Nature variant.
Cankerbloom is cool too, maybe some combo with Necrotic Ooze

Cankerbloom still seems like comfortably maindeckable artifact and enchantment removal.

I think it is Vindicator as in
Swiftblade Vindicator
