To answer the rules question floating around since the leak: no, the Gardens will not revert back unless it leaves the battlefield, and will lose all other abilities. In decks like Modern Hammer, that mana sink of a copy ability can go off as early as turn 3.
This plays off like a worse manland (e.g. Blinkmoth Nexus) unless your artifacts are just that powerful. I could actually kinda sorta use another Cranial Plating, for instance. Not being able to help rebuild your offences by itself kinda blows, though.
You can even copy the Dreadnought in response to its EtB ability triggering and keep the copy.
What's the value of copying a mox?
I'd rather copy a Panharmonicon or a Blightsteel Colossus. It's less about getting value than just getting a second copy right at the spot. Once can even finagle Dark Depths into an artifact (Liquimetal Coating/Liquimetal Torque... or anything when using those two) to then do (basically) the Thespian's Stage combo. I get what he was saying, but decided upon cards that just popped in his head. Hell, even a second Skullclamp would be insane. This card was more designed for Commander and limited formats. But if a nasty enough combo is found, can be used in Modern or Legacy.
What's the payoff for having Sphere as a type? At least in GRN and RNA we had some gate payoffs. Here I see nothing special about it outside of flavour.

So far it's pretty much been one or two cards that care about Spheres.

Will get a lot of these. Works in an artifact cube and also 5th-6th artifact in decks that have key artifacts as components. As opposed to Sculpting Steel, this can be played as a land when needed and also takes up a land slot in deck building.
I think I would want to run it in an Affinity style deck in Modern where it could come in as an Ornithopter or Memnite and boost your artifact count for Affinity shenanigans.
On top of that its a "sleeper" artifact in that while in hand its a land and dodges discard plays like Thoughtseize and the like.
I like its design even if it isn't flashy or OP.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.

I'm wondering if there'll be some sort of convoluted alt-win if you can get all the spheres in play at the same time or X% of them on the field either here in ONE or maybe in MoM. Sort of like Maze's End did with gates initially.
March of the Machine seems to be the place to find more, but still more to uncover here with ONE.

well the safer bet is this is likely when we are finally gonna see phyrexian tribal support cards. But in ONE the one and only tribal support card we have in this set is the seedcore and that’s no different to sliver hive for slivers
heck not even atraxa has a tribal ability she’s just niv-mizzet reborn for card types
This is extra inkmoth nexus in modern infect. Running extra colorless land is risky, although this one can filter to colored mana. Responding to your opponent killing an inkmoth by copying it is not a bad play.

Well they are designing sets that cater to multiple formats instead of strictly Standard so I get the reasoning behind having some cards that speak to others if there isn't much in-set support initially. That might or might not be a good thing.

so far the only thing we have is to turn on Monument to Perfection
but will see if Mom bring anything
The color sphere benefits from the leak is later on if you don’t need them you can sac them to draw a card
