Lukka going full copper coat was the first one we officially saw, but story-wise, Nahiri gets infected first. She's Boros Equipment aggro support, as usual.
She seems okayish even good. Basically a 3 mana Planeswalker with 5 loyalty and no loyalty cost ability. The discard card with her second +1 can even be reused with the 0 ability later.

There actually a line in the story from October that hinted at Nissa getting infected before they leave Dominaria for New Phyrexia.
Nissa walked toward the center of the room to join them, stopping momentarily when she noticed something small skittering around amid the debris. Kneeling down, she brushed away the ash and scrap to uncover a tiny artifact bird, for sure one of Saheeli's creations. It had her meticulous craftsmanship sprinkled with a bit of playfulness. The bird hopped onto her finger, and Nissa lifted it up to take a closer look. It craned its neck, looked Nissa right in the eye, and let out a tiny metallic tone like the tinkling of morning dew dripping into a still pond.
the 0 ability is cool, you only have to plus it once to start getting most dragons, but she's a crazy powerful stone manipulator, it would have been cool if for (probably) her final card, she had gotten something more unique and thematic, stealing lands or something

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
I was hoping for something closer to her original card and she'd make tokens and equips. Not sure why I'm so disappointed in this card. If she had given you an emblem too to let you play what she exiled like tibalt had, it'd been amazing but it just feels like her +1 is to make things swing into you.

Her lithomancy has always been about her ability to shape stone as she likes (e. g. hedrons or walls containing Sorin and his relatives). And since the begining with "Stoneforged Blade" this has been interpreted in-game as her mastery of Equipments. This is not exactly the most Equipment-focused version of her, but land-stealing was never how she was doing.
Nahiri is a master of stone, not a master of the Mountain made of stone (that's Koth) or the mana/leylines on the land in general (that's Nissa). Her ability is more akin to Saheeli's artifice, except more raw and intuitive. Not assembling contraptions, but forcing a shape onto a slab of stone purely by willing it.
Nahiri, the Lithomancer perfectly captures her, and we aren't going to get a so strongly Equipment focused planeswalker all that frequently. There is already another one in her most recent printing before this: Nahiri, Heir of the Ancients. That's a pretty linear theme to go all-out on again and again. Hence her more utility-oriented version. But the Equipment-aspect is not forgotten either. Fine realization of the character IMO.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
At first glance I thought she was pretty awful, and I still don't think she's great, but *IF* you can protect her loyalty, she can actually be pretty threatening. That "ultimate" being a 0 and not a - means she really does recur a threat every turn as long as you have a stocked graveyard. Unfortunately she does nothing to protect herself and both the +1 abilities are pretty weak.
“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
The first ability is basically "play your game plan anyway". Against control it does next to nothing. Against aggro, they probably prefer to race you than attack a looter that can recur a one-time hit. If your opponent has any kind of blocker, that GY recursion may not even be useful. (Not even taking into account that after sideboarding, anyone can bring in GY hate.) Can be good with ETB abilities, but that is pretty much the end of it.
She's very set-themed though, as she can recur a "For Mirrodin!" living weapon and leave a 2/2 goblin behind.
I guess it is the kind of mythics that I'd be disappointed to open.
I know the first +1 technically protects her from getting attack but still feels like one of the weakest abilities outside of Tibalt ever seen on a Planeswalker ever!
Whoever gave her those arms decided “Anorexia, All Will Be Thin” would be a better gospel. You can totally see this Nahiri parading across the catwalk during a ‘90s Phyrexian fashion show.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
Don't like the art... looks strange to me.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."

Anyways I'm enjoying this sets having more manful uses of compleation which is neat from the melvin side.
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
She's either 4 mana, 5 loyalty, or 3 mana, 3 loyalty.
Ah, good catch. I completely missed the word "player" there and was just thinking it forced an attack. I do think that makes her a fair deal better.

I do wonder if she is using her abilities to give herself sword arms or if Phyrexians gave her sword arms.
Mardu legends with Nahiri, Mondrak and Ratadrabik of Urborg is certainly one of the first things I'm trying once this set releases.
