Here's hoping for the impossible: Jace and Nissa don't get cured. Do we really need ANOTHER 13 Jaces?
I'd be kinda sad to permanently lose Vraska, since she's one of the only clearly non-human planeswalkers (elves and Kor don't count). But I for one am tired of Jaces and Nissas.
They could use this to create a "Legion of Doom" opposite the Gatewatch. If the good guys win and destroy New Phrexia completely, the compleated planeswalkers could escape easily and become recurring villains. They are gonna need some bad guys when all this is over and done.

You do realize that Chandra has 17 planeswalker cards right? I don’t understand why people hate Jace so much were you all beat up by control players in modern because outside of jace the mind sculptor all of his planeswalker cards have been pretty fair.

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone
Yes, let’s piss off an even larger part of your fanbase by ruining or killing all their favorite characters. Absolutely splendid job Wizards.
They better have a freaking huge long term payoff here but given how God damn mediocre Magic’s story team is I’m not holding my breath.
you didn't read the lore did you
They teased the compleation on walkers might be curable
Tezzeret picked up the cloak, white with gold trim save for faded patches on it, off-color, pink like scar tissue. It hadn't registered with him until now that it was the same cloak once worn by Elspeth Tirel. Interesting. He was aware they'd been allies on Alara, but not of how close they'd been. Tezzeret studied the leonin, knowing that deep inside that compleated body, the spirit of the true Ajani still existed. Suppressed. Was he aware of what was happening? Was the cape some kind of cryptic plea for help from the recesses of the leonin's mind? If so, Ajani was a bigger fool than Tezzeret had thought. This was neither the time nor the place to expose oneself in such an overt manner.
At this point no, I’m definitely not bothering with that rubbish they call “lore” anymore. Skipped it for a number of sets, then gave Dominaria United another chance, and found yet more rubbish and bad writing.
Nothing in that text points to and actual cure. Only that a suppressed spirit might still be inside somewhere. Their bodies are stripped down and rebuild into a Phyrexian machine. The only thing that would fix that is more time travel which would be a lazy way to go.

Wasn't the whole shtick of Mirrodin the changing of metal into flesh and flesh into metal? If they solve the Mirrodin problem it would just take time and some in-lore jump to revert Phyrexian scraps into flesh.

It's called telling a story. In a story things need to change, otherwise there is no story. Characters changing is just a part of it.
I never understood people who care nothing for a story and instead latch onto the characters. I don't read/watch a thing because of a single character.

I get it more in Magic, where people like playing with cards of their favorite characters and aren't necessarily looking for a good story. That said, I highly doubt these characters are permanently gone - phyrexians are borg and assimilation is reversible.
Somewhat unfortunate that these being monocolor means we likely won't see the remaining phybrid mana symbols any time soon.
Damn i hope Jace will die for good but it will never happen. Too many sensitive crybabies, you can even see that from here.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Wow, they had to introduce Toxic in the set when there is already SO MUCH around here.
you must be new here.
Hey, guys, remember that time yawgmoth explicitly couldn't find a physical planeswalker organ, despite dissecting several? And then, the last time we were here, venser just booped karn on the nose, and suddenly he could planeswalk again? Do you remember that? Cause I do.
s'not like the lore has been good, or even consistent, for the last decade. So why the **** should we care now? I'm sure in ten years we'll remember that time jace was a spiky robot with an equal amount of indifference.

I have a feeling that the Simic are going to be hired to heal the compleated walkers. I do think that poor Ajani is most likely to die die. Even though he wasn't in control when he killed Jaya I could see them killing him off to make the situation less complicated.

I get it less with Magic, because the character's cards don't disappear. You want to play with Venser? You will always be able to do that (depending on format).
I could in theory understand it mroe for things like TV series, and even there I don't get it.
Everyone is so sure these walkers are going to be cured when society love villains. Imagine a Jace/Lilians dynamic where each is trying to win the other over, with Vraska as the third of the triangle, Nissa & Chandra? There's no reason to turn them back so soon, regardless of Phyrexia's defeat.
Nahiri is going to survive. She will be the key to reopen the moon on Innistrad and redirect Emrakul to New Phyrexia
plus she will be forced to cooperate with Sorin again.

My point is more that the story doesn't really matter that much to people playing the game, but never seeing another card for their heavily thematic Jace commander deck matters a lot to some people. People are attached to characters in a game here, not characters in a story.
If a TV series kills off a character in service to the story, that's great. Look at Andor - they had an important character die off screen between episodes, but it served the story and it made the audience feel what they were supposed to feel. If your story is good, you can do anything, even if it otherwise seem wrong, and it's OK as long as it serves that story.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe people are actually that emotionally attached to the characters in the story, in which case the Magic story is better than I've given it credit for, but I suspect not.

So the white planeswalker's probably following norn... it seems like they would be a sort of lawful charcter. kaya's from the orzhov, sort of a relgious cult that has other motives also.. i think she's compleated.
Honestly, a part of me really hopes that reversing phyrexian compleation takes a turn toward the ridiculous and involves Oko, Thief of Crowns first turning all the compleated walkers into elks. (No Seriously, dumb as it may sound, it might be the easiest way to remove all the oil, metal and mechanical parts).

The funny thing is, if you take magic-heavy fantasy worlds to their conclusions, you'll run into ridiculous stuff like that all the time.
(Un?)fortunately the magic systems of MtG and other fantasy worlds operate on a rule of cool and cinematic, so, no such things.
