How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Don't evaluate in a vacuum. The powerstone-rich environment probably reduces mid-game artifact costs by two, if not more if you're lucky. This is equivalent to a colorless 4/5 flyer that scry 4 for 6 in other sets.
because It’s looking at its power on ETB so changes while on the stack let’s you dig further without the heavy cost
Just so it's clear, you could also Giant Growth this before the ETB goes off if you really wanted the extra scry. What matters is its power when the triggered ability resolves. An additional note: it doesn't change the behavior here, but anthems do not change the stats of creature spells on the stack.

This might actually be better in most cases as the prototype.
