Portal to Phyrexia looks pretty cool as a one-sided near-board wipe that also (slowly) gives you an army, but I suspect Modern Green Tron won't have room for it and still prefers Oblivion Stone, and Modern Eldrazi Tron won't maindeck it (i.e. shaky Karn, the Great Creator wishboard target). If anyone is still playing Trash for Treasure in Modern, though (there was a mono-red build I've seen/played that was shockingly good), God-Pharaoh's Gift is getting replaced by this.
That’s impossible they wouldn't allow a card like that standard legal from what they said on zendikar rising (shift down the power level)
but I'm happy regardless my crovax copy is gonna spike hard because of modern and pioneer (yawgmoth and Rakdos) and hopefully I can get this Gix version as well now
phyrexian portal: that’s a must for my upcoming phyrexian tribal deck for “phyrexia all will be one” atraxa card I can use both abilities forced sac and stealing creatures to join the tribe.
I’m assuming atraxa will be GWUB or WUBRG in “phyrexia all will be one” the red gets in something like this “R:target phyrexian gains haste until end of turn”
He reason it’s a story spot light on the portal the split of the powerstone Mishra and Urza caused ruined everything rebbec did. That’s also how Gix got here in the first place. Nice touch with phyrexian negator

I also like visions of Phyrexia, it is this set's version of red's "impulsive draw" enchantments and this one spots you a powerstone the first turn.

I just don't care for the fact that "Portal to Phyrexia" and "Phyrexian Portal" are different cards. Yugioh moment
Portal to Phyrexia gives off a strong The Mist flavor. Or, of course, Oblivion.
With the amount of powerstone generation the mana cost shouldn't be a problem.
We may also get a Tinker-like effect too.

9 mana is a lot, but its well worth cheating in play, as you get the 3x edict effect, which is really nice, even if they can remove it.
Kuldotha Forgemaster can tutor it right out of the deck, oh yea this will be quite a thing in Commander.
