Lots of previews dropping during the World Championships. Today, in between Explorer rounds, we have a prototype army at mythic, Spellbinder Elite's ETB on an instant, and Welcoming Vampire on an enchantment.
They "opened a booster" during the lunch break, so we also have some uncommons. Here we have a Go for the Throat reprint, a creature that cares about your slowly-growing graveyard, and the GW signpost uncommon.
Overwhelming remorse: are……are you serious!?!?!?! …I…I can legitimate prediction it could impact every format besides legacy and vintage
Welcome: ok welcoming vampire playability is toast now 1. a enchantment version for same Mana value 2.it does mana value rather than power (less restrictive)
Battalion: clever little sneaks they remembered flicker effects would be psycho with this (look at avenger) and I’m really excited for prototype but worried it’s only gonna be 5 cards (a cycle) one in each color at mythic.
Looks like we are powering up Standard a fair bit with this set so far.
Don't sell that white instant Soul Partition short either in Standard. It will be played quite a bit.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Skitterbeam Battalion just might be playable in Modern Green Tron decks as a creature that kills opponents dead the turn after you play it (read: a 2-turn clock with Haste) with some protection from spot removal. It even comes with anti-Blood Moon insurance by being playable as 6 Haste power for 5 red mana!

Stern Lesson might actually see play in Modern Indomitable Creativity decks, although it has stiff competition from Prismari Command. Dunno if those mono-blue artifact-heavy decks that already play Hard Evidence want this.

Kekai Kotaki is my favorite new artist since Magali Villenueve
Been on this forum for 10++ years

But okay, here's the real problem: Why the heck does the new art on Go For The Throat portray the thing going for the guy's belly?

It can. Note how the rules text mentions "color" and that the Prototype box is colored red.
I like how Bitter Reunion does almost the same thing as Cathartic Reunion
I concur. "Exile target creature or planeswalker" for what could be as low as B far outshines "destroy target creature" for the same mana cost.
