Prosper, Tome-Bound is…NOT the perfect fit because that’s more spell slinger than damage
I think the real home is Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald is better fit because there’s a lot more aggro in the deck so feldon attacking and you can throw in fighting cards as well
Think you hit that nail on the head, this is more Standard or maybe Pioneer RDW/Aggro than Commander. Not a terrible card for those by any means, though.
It seems worse than Robber of the Rich for older formats and cube. Probably standard playable, but sort of easy to deal with by using non damage removal or blocking other things.

not necessarily worse....
I mean, this thing draws card from YOUR deck... and ya know, your deck tends to play better with itself than opponent's.
also.... if you can somehow buff him or make him indestructible, he could draw a crapton of cards....
or if you have some way to repeatedly damage him for 1 each turn.... whatever.
this card will compete with Bloodthirsty Adversary for a slot in every red aggro deck in standard for sure.
I don't really understand the flavor of Feldon at all, but seems decent for standard. 2/2 haste that when it dies (kinda) draws you a card (kinda). Feels very disposable though, not something I think of on a legendary creature either.

4 goyfs received
3 liliana of the veil
4 karn liberated
3 force of will
4 grove of the burnwillows
snapcaster mage

2 full art damnation
Between Monastery Swiftspear and now Feldon, they are really pushing mono red aggro decks in Standard.

Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)

Worth noting that Bloodthirsty Adversary is not in every red aggro deck at the moment.
Why is In the Trenches a mythic at all. Because of limited? In my opinion they already played it save with the 6 mana activation cost. 3 Mana anthem are normally rare and the addition here is not exciting enough to make it a mythic. Well an upside is an upside I guess...

If it was 2 cmc I could see a small argument for mythic, but at 3 this screams rare, I agree.
A shame In the Trenches can only exile your opponents things, could be interesting if it could target your own stuff.
and unless I’m reading this wrong
its not anti-theft either since it’s missing “return it to battlefield under its owners control”
It still works.
610.3. Some one-shot effects cause an object to change zones “until” a specified event occurs. A second one-shot effect is created immediately after the specified event. This second one-shot effect returns the object to its previous zone.
... 610.3c An object returned to the battlefield this way returns under its owner’s control unless otherwise specified
I am glad to see In the Trenches but as others have said at Mythic? What the Fudge? It could be a flipping Uncommon.

First off, Feldon in his youth, dating to around the end of the Brothers' War. Might be for monored aggro in Standard more than anything else.
Next up, Mind's Eye is the next of our retro artifacts for the set.
Finally, we have Chromatic Lantern and an anthem that's also a Banishing Light.

retro frame artifact mind's eye
that blueprint art is easily my favorite for minds eye.
I think they could have added "Feldon, Ronom Excavator has indestructible while attacking".
Sort of like Zurgo Helmsmasher

and very mid outside that scenario.
That would be fine for commander but too strong on a 2/2 haste for 2 in standard.
one bulk mythic
full art painlands
truck Load of retro frame cards
the New cards in the commander decks
