Here's the rest of The Ruinous Powers precon. As with the Tyranid precon, this thread will be filled with a lot of cards, which may include the reprints and their new art. Decklist is here.
First off, the forces of Nurgle, all in black.
Khorne and Slaanesh have their forces mixed in red.
Tzeentch's armies are in blue and blue-red.
Finally, Abaddon's mandate and sword join the black-red artifacts.
There is going to be some lucky punk playing Legacy who will tutor for Drach'Nyen with Stoneforge Mystic. ...And they will exile Emrakul, the Aeons Torn with it.
The tokens of the set represent the armies representing Nurgle and Tzeentch (the other two prefer the more individualized approach), distributed among ten double-faced tokens. Note that each row of tokens presented here moving forward represents 1 double-faced token.
oh wow just 2 blue cards and an almost equal distribution between red and black cards while black has another whole deck for itself. This make me think that the new black one will contain quite a high number of new colorless artifacts. And the Esper deck will likely have 50/50 distribution between blue and white and only 1 or 2 black cards + the multicolor ones.
Quite a few new demons here. I don't have my Kaalia of the Vast deck build but I think that the Bloodthirster can be quite nice there.

How is Plague Drone neither an Insect nor a Drone?
The mount is the insect drone, the rider is a Plague Bearer.
Exactly - the card's name refers to the drone mount, not the demonic rider.
That comes from Warhammer itself. Despite how it looks like an insect, its actually a Daemon. Rot Flies are Daemons of Nurgle and can have either Daemons riding them (Plague Drones) or Mortals riding them (Pusgoyle Blightlords)

Well, the flavor text doesn't say the Rot Fly is an "insectoid daemon", but it says "daemonic insect", so the card itself says a Rot Fly should be a Demon Insect: Now this seems to be a Specter case, where the people creating WH40K made the confusing decision to call the rider a Plague Drone, who is a Daemon... but by name is also a Drone. So, trusting you entirely that the rider is the Drone... why doesn't the type line follow up with Demon Drone? The Tyranid Gargoyle tokens show that they use an additional race if it is implied by the name.
So retracting the Insect suggestion taking this new information into account... why isn't this "Drone" a Drone?

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
A high-ranking Plaguebearer of Nurgle is known amongst the Plague God's daemonic Plague Legions as a Plague Drone, a title that conveys commendable humility. (From the 40k wiki)
The plaguebearer itself isn't a 'drone' in the mtg sense of the word, because that refers to (as according to the MTG wiki):
Drone is creature type that refers to simple, immature, or artificial lifeforms that perform tedious and menial work.
Which this guy isn't. Hope that cleared things up a bit.
Also, a 'gargoyle', according to the MTG wiki is:
Gargoyle is a creature type used for cards that depict grotesque figures of a winged humanoid or animal, incorporated into the architecture of a building in the form of a waterspout. Those that do not channel water are known as "grotesques".
And since Tyranids don't really have buildings, but some of their creatures do function as buildings/movable airships, notably their Tyranid Harridan, to which Gargoyles cling.
So uh,.. am I wrong, or does Bloodthirster + Chaos Terminator Lord = 12 combat steps in a single turn? (Assuming 3 opponents)(the bloodthirster can only attack during 3 of them)
So uh,.. am I wrong, or does Bloodthirster + Chaos Terminator Lord = 12 combat steps in a single turn? (Assuming 3 opponents)(the bloodthirster can only attack during 3 of them)
That would be nine combat phases. Three during which the Bloodthirster can attack and two of them for each of these if he double-hits during that combat phase. Hope, you have the required vigilance (or untap etc.) though, because if all that untaps is the Bloodthirster, then you still don't get more swings out of your other creatures.

Only Bloodthirster untaps unless if you had another way to untap all creatures
And only bloodthirster would be able to attack 3 times total if you had 3 players (it can't attack same opponent twice in a turn). Double strike doesn't compound.
3 times 2 (double strike) is 6 possible extra attack phases, so if you can find that way to untap all creatures, yeah, not bad.

Black gets two sweepers and Dark Ritual.
Red has five reprints, mostly staples.
The deck's multicolor reprints are a pair of cascade cards.
Assault Suit is joined by mana rocks for the deck's artifact reprints, including the most expensive reprint of the set: Chromatic Lantern.
Here are the nonbasic reprints of the precon. It shares the same art with the Tyranid precon for Cave of Temptation, Exotic Orchard, and Path of Ancestry.
Finally, the unique basic land art for this precon. The deck contains 8 of each of these lands.
Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."

Pretty sure they just won't be balanced.
