The last member of the Defiler cycle is a compleated kavu, one of Gaea's very own creations turned against the people of Dominaria. Monored aggro will take the best advantage of this abomination, combining cheap aggro creature with the Defiler's pinging to quickly close the game.
Probably the best one of the entire cycle. The Defiler ramp ability is very valuable in Midrange as it allows you to both double up on a 3 and a 4 drop (which are both important slotsin Red Midrange already) or just ramp into a 6-drop if you want to. Plus, pinging potential blockers down is also very useful in Midrange, especially in a format with lot of small tokens running around.
However, I do have to mention that while this IS solid on Aggro, it'll have to compete with Raiju and I think he's not quite up to par. That said, considering how strong Red is as a Midrange color right now, I'd be shocked if it saw no play.
1. Very nice body with first strike
2. Pinging for every red spell is very decent in burn
3. Like the black member of the cycle one mana less than the cycle
4. the 1/1 tokens/creatures don't stand a chance with this in play
5. Red is known for making its damage bigger (via Embermaw Hellion and Torbran, Thane of Red Fell)
6. And this is the biggest one and plan and simple Basilisk Collar effects to put on it to put one hit wonder shooting
1. U you just get the card replaced if you play a blue spell
2.G you basically keep make your creatures and itself bigger
3.R see above
4. W just makes 1/1's per white spell
5. B its just temporary envasion…for one creature

the one thing against them all, specially red and blue is that it only triggers for permanents for all of them....
but red and blue oftentimes are a lot more "spellslinger" decks.....

oh i know that the order is based off if your deck had more permanent spells than spellslinger

I'm happy that the ping can hit face.
