Our last planeswalker is the Silver Golem himself. He makes Powerstones, makes you use them to dig for cards, then has them burn people to death. Pretty solid if you can find a way to make those Powerstones untap immediately.
i can predict the powerstone tokens are gonna be used a lot more in the “brothers war” set
because I’m pretty sure Urza's Giant mechs (artifact creatures) or Mishra artifact creature phyrexians (Dragon engines/and after being compleat) quite a bit are gonna be equivalent cmc as eldrazi (the point of spawn/scion tokens in those zendikar sets)
Beside the mana rig card from the leak also makes powerstone tokens
Anyway the important part here is your judge brains and expert players will realize on inspection you can loophole those powerstone tokens with

Not quite sure how useful that -1 is, especially with that +1 he has. It can dig quite far, but you need to sink quite a lot of mana into it. ...And even paying 1 mana to "draw" 1 card can be tedious.
The -1 looks interesting, but doesn't look like this Karn will have a home in tron decks. At least not upon first glance.
You can dig for cards with this karn, but Creator Karn can get you something straight from the sideboard and have mana to play it too.
The -7 also look like a "win more" type thing. No way you're getting that emblem without already having the upper hand.
+1 to create a mana rock.... which is alright.... but I really need something better in my turn 4, really.
-1 and some mana to draw a card and some selection
and an ultimate you'll never reach.
the fact that the -1 doesn't do anything if you don't pay mana is pretty sad.
Thinking about this for Modern. Don't know if Tron/Eldrazi-Tron decks may want to use this to dig deep with Tron fueled mana from his -1.
Would have liked a little more power but I will take it. Can't ever get enough Karn.

I like the arts, but this is honestly my least favorite Karn to date at a first glance
Feels boring and too practical.
He's essentially a worse Koth of the hammer for artifacts, with one more starting loyalty, but an ultimate which costs two more
Koth can ramp beyond his own cost the turn he enters, but Karn's ramp stones come in tapped.
He can't create a blocker to defend him, and his emblem artifacts which ping can be more easily removed than mountains against most decks or sideboards.
Perhaps if it performs well I'll be convinced otherwise, but I don't even feel the need to test this in Daretti, Breya, or Urza. Maybe Padeem wants this?
It was really necessary that the powerstone could be use exclusively to cast artifact spells? that makes that +1 sucks hard in most decks. They played too much safe on this, they even enter tapped.
I didn't notice those powerstones only work for artifact spells... So would this Karn only be good in Urza combo decks? Like thopter combo decks in modern and mono blue urza commander decks?
The fact that he does NOTHING to protect himself is very disheartening. Doesn't make a creature blocker, doesn't destroy/exile another creature, doesn't tap an opponent's creature, doesn't even have any protection from anything on himself. I really don't see how this is going to find play in constructed formats outside of some Tron and artifact builds.
That was probably the intention.

I do not think we should underestimate a colorless planeswalker that adds mana (albeit slowly/artifact-only) and draws cards, but this does appear to be rather fair and a step back in power level from some of the more powerful planeswalkers we have seen.
This is rather niche, but I think he could be fun in vintage cube where you have lots of artifact decks and untapping with him and the -1 ability you could dig pretty deep to get what you need next.
OK, I think I've finally found the best deck in Modern for this newest Karn: Indomitable Creativity. This deck wants artifact noncreature tokens out the wazoo and prefers some dig to go with them. It's also fine with Karn LL not protecting himself as long as it gets that artifact token. Yes, I have dug 7 cards deep with Karn LL's -1 in testing with this deck! Yes, Karn LL is competing with Jace, the Mind Sculptor in that deck, and Jace TMS can put Creativity targets back in the library, but Jace TMS sure cannot make artifact noncreature tokens, Jace TMS can be difficult to cast at times in Indomitable Creativity decks, and Jace TMS has always protected himself fairly badly.

The art shows Constructs , he does not make any.
The abilities are not really "karn" related (except its a powerstone, but thats as far as it gets).
So yea, this is the worst Karn so far, on powerlevel and flavor.

It can help pay for a Shigeki, Jukai Visionary/Colossal Skyturtle loop. I think you'd still need another reason to run this over other ramp options, though.
