The Flamesage wants you to dig deep for free instants and sorceries, but enlist means you still need a couple of creatures sitting around to add in their power. How would you balance it?
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
As I said in the leaked release notes thread, this one might end up not making the cut in Modern. The trigger looks really tempting even with just X = 2, but Keldon Flamesage is still a 3-mana 2/3 with no Haste and no evasion that dies to Bolt and can't self-recur or at least try to dodge that Bolt. ...And that trigger will likely whiff shockingly often, even with 24 or more hits in your deck. Since UR Tempo often only has around 16 hits these days...

I think two ways:
- have a lot of token producing instants and sorceries (Mainly one that make big tokens)
- Forget about enlist and play a bunch of combat tricks at instant or sorcery to keep it big enough to dig deep.
