As a longtime (almost ten years) Reki player, Shanid has me pretty stoked. The fact that this triggers off lands is huge. Works with legendary creatures and artifacts, of course, and also with legendary sorceries from OG Dominaria.

they created another atleast white ramp card you can get 2 lands for 2 life since it's not a mana abilty

I wouldn’t call that an error as there are virtually no other abilities out there that are useful to copy in this way.

I did a scry fall search to look for life paying effects that cost more than some life and a single mana to activate (as they could often be re-activated easily enough without this card) and that wanted to be copied and there weren’t a whole lot of good options: bloodsoaked altar, chainer, dementia master, cruel sadist, Erebos, god of death, forsworn paladin, glass-cast heart, phyrexian reclamation, priest of fell rites, sinister concoction, and yawgmoth, thran physician… the fetchlands are probably going to be the main draw for this card.

Apparently someone on the design team is a Preacher fan.

Gerrard's Hourglass Pendant is a great piece of hate for those solitaire players. Can't wait to flash this in for a single mana after they cast Time Stretch.

Cadric, Soul Kindler should be interesting. It doesn't have to be a combat-oriented Boros deck, though you still can use it that way. I'm curious what people will do with it.

And Verrak, Warped Sengir is some unique design space, especially for Orzhov.
