Could someone tell me what is so unique about the Ajani #371? It doesn't look Foil Etched, and it's not the regular, Borderless, or showcase art. Is it just the Phyrexian version in English?
Yes, for Ajani only they gave him two "normal" cards that show him before and after being revealed to be a sleeper agent (192 is non-phyrexia Ajani, 371 is Phyrexia Ajani) and two borderless arts that mimic that (375 is the non-phyrexia art, 376 is the phyrexian art).

“There are no weak Jews. I am descended from those who wrestle angels and kill giants. We were chosen by God. You were chosen by a pathetic little man who can't seem to grow a full mustache"
"You can tell how dumb someone is by how they use Mary Sue"
It truly is a sign of dire times when Baral, of all people, is fighting side by side with Chandra. I dunno why, but I've always been a big fan of the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" trope.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Nice design on Xira, too bad she's just a goodstuff commander with not many particular sinergies

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I'm really excited about this set so far, it looks pretty cool and interesting. The stained glass cards look sick.
Looks like The Weatherlight + crew are going to get ****ed up.
Really don't like the straight up Avengers style logos. But they're just the logos, so hope the sets themselves at least are good. I just really don't like how it looks like they're mimicing Marvel stuff.
Also curious it looks like no new planes over the next year. It's all known stuff. I would have loved a new Kaladesh set instead of Ixalan though. Kaladesh is my favourite next to Dominaria.
And that Zendikara + Phyrexia teaser... I love Eldrazi and Phyrexians, so I really hope we get some crazy compleated phyrexians.
Wilds of Eldraine and Caverns of Ixalan - now we're talking! I am highly anticipating those sets! I really was hoping for Vryn and a revisit to Jace's origin story and past, though. Ideally the year after, we will. Perhaps it's best to save Vryn, since we've been visiting a lot of technologically advanced planes lately.
I dearly hope Theros will be safe from Phyrexia. The glimpses of Theros in March of the Machine are both concerning and intriguing, because I would love to see some Theros-themed cards in the set as a partial revisit alongside the other depicted planes, but I am strongly opposed to violating Theros's theme as a Greek Mythology plane, which has a deep fund of source material without the need to be subservient to or altered by other media. And it has yet to deliver on a broad wealth of tropes from that source material, and even its own in-game canon, thus far.

Just think of the Phyrexians as Achaemenids.
Of course, if they're taking the fight to Phyrexia... you're cool with Theros being the Macedonian plane for a bit, right?

Of course, that would be amazing actually. I just don't wish to see the plane of Theros itself corrupted or even altered by these events

Because the entire point of the box toppers was to redesign old Legends characters to be actually playable by today's standards?
