The third precon from this set is the RG Exit from Exile precon. It's a cast-from-exile-matters deck, powered by cascade, foretell, suspend, and Adventures, among many others. Leading the charge with Faldorn, Dread Worlf Herald is one of the masked Lords of Waterdeep and his obsession with the past. Decklist is here.
Oooh, these are nice. I'm glad to see another card in the style of Arc Blade.
I do also like that for 6GGG, you can get a 7/7 Trampler, and a creature from your graveyard, while potentially having some spells in Exile to protect them on your opponents turns.
And on a side note, while I know it's just for this deck's theme, I almost wonder if that version of Regrowth is a better fit for Green than the current one. Like, at least for creatures.
I'm not a fan of green having exile matters effects, seems out of the color pie completely. Yes, Riftsweeper exists, but that's more of a Regrowth effect.
I do also wonder why they're forcing green counter spells all of a sudden and not given white a little of it.
I think to get the flavor of Delayed Blast Fireball correct it really needed Suspend with the ability to take away time counters if you felt like setting it off earlier. You can see the spell normally and Foretell goes against that completely.
It's not exactly forced, Green has had a few cards that counter target activated or triggered ability, especially if it's from an artifact. If nothing else, it's why Voidslime wasn't mono-blue, even if later on they decide Blue could do that too.
Likewise, Green has had a few cards that care about cards Exile, most specifically creatures. Dragon-Kami's Egg being a recent one.

I'm well aware green has had counters before, like Lifeforce and Gutteral Response, but they've done a few green counters recently with Verdant Command, and Green Slime and I believe another, though I could be wrong about the later. I just figured we would have had a mono white counter by now.

That's less "cares about exile" and more caring about the specific card it exiles, at least until more hatching counters appear on cards, which is not the same as caring about all cards from exile.
I mean, the one Green card here that cares about casting from Exile just cares about Creatures being cast from Exile, which is far from unheard of in Green. The specific example I picked was not great, I'll admit. Vivien, Champion of the Wilds might be a better example of what I mean.
Admittedly, Tlincalli Hunter works best in other kinds of decks, as Green is relatively limited when it comes to exiling creatures in a way they can be cast, but Adventure Creatures do still exist.
Also, now that I think about it, if you think of Riftsweeper as a Regrowth effect then the Hunter should be relatively similar. The front half is, effectively, a Regrowth, just into Exile instead of hand.

Countering abilities was green before it was blue, like Brown Ouphe and Rust. What's odd isn't all the green ability countering these days, it's that period where ability countering only showed up in blue.
Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.
I might try to figure out how to give green more advantage with exile casting Besides foretell/cascade/adventure/foretell (any other keywords that gives cast from exile in green)

You mean like Mage's Attendant, a card printed in the previous set and is also in the Party precon?

All these new green exile-matters cards are basic effects for the color, but using exile as a stopover.

My comment wasn't questioning how green does it, but why they seem to be pushing it lately. Green has gotten a lot the last few years and this feels like yet another thing to push the color.

And my response was saying it was weird that Wizards stopped doing it in green. This recent push of three whole cards is just a return to the old norm.

Arriving out of exile is this pair of red cards and one artifact.
And now, green cards seemingly out of nowhere.

And there's our Delayed Blast Fireball. Was hoping for Suspend but I can behind foretell.

Oh colorless doesn't exactly count either
the Reason is I might give this deck a shot
