Still bad in almost any case, but if your deck wanted Sisay's Ring, this is simply better in almost any case.
Sisay's Ring is already strictly worse than Thran Dynamo and Hedron Archive. Not really power creep when you're talking about the nerfed version of an existing card.
Im just happy Flork got a preview, love his webcomic.
Its a little expensive for a mana rock, but the gy hate is a nice addition.
You were really expecting that we would ever see again a mana rock giving permanently 2 mana for only 3 mana? The last new card that did this was Palladium Myr and was over a decade ago (and wasn't even a rock technically or we should go back to Coalition Relic ). I don't see how this is expensive, it's perfectly in line with current power level of mana rocks today.
I was more referring to 4 mana being more expensive than what's usually played as a mana rock in general. Costing 3 mana and producing 1 instead costing 4 and producing 2 would have put it more in line with the commonly played rocks.
Welp Hedron archive is down for the count on its auto staple in decks status (you may lose 1 card in the draw but it’s traded for graveyard hate and it’s easily opponent exclusive)

But that doesn't make the card "expensive" exactly like Explosive Vegetation is not a little more "expensive" Rampant Growth, because they do 2 different things (and obviously, more is powerful the effect the more appropriately is costed)
I'm actually on the opposite line of tought. I'm sick of cmc 3 mana rocks that only gives 1 mana everywhere and let the colorless eldrazi EDH decks give more love in terms of good ramp, utility and actual card advantage (2 mana for 1 card is better than 1 mana for 1 card). Not to mention, this card not only gives mana but it's also a graveyard-hate tool and replace itself with the card draw, which makes a good utility card in late game EDH (not to mention the times you can abuse it with recurring effects if your general is Daretti, Scrap Savant or similars ). Id say it's a cool card and appropriately costed for what it does.
I guess it's just a matter of taste and what you commonly see in your group, I suppose. I havent played against an Eldrazi EDH deck in years, my group is pretty far on the casual scale. Generally speaking, the two and three mana cost rocks always seem to be the most frequently played based on what I encounter. Even the rampier decks dont seem to run Thran Turbines or Sisay's Rings or Hedron Archives anymore.

Hedron Archive knocks off one card drawn for mass grave hate that doesn't have to touch the graveyards of you or your allies.
