One of those cards that's obligated to be 8 mana based on the potential of the effect (you get how many etbs on every attack phase???) but on its face it kinda sucks.
i keep seeing this compared to hoof and i just do not agree that its as ubiquitous or as strong.
the thing with hoof is that when it hits play, even if it gets removed, you're still getting the bonus. you can also cheat it back into play (and this has saved my ass constantly) through reanimation, or natural order style effects. it makes it a real surprise at any moment. its also a 5/5, and i've had games where with nothing else on board i've hoofed just to smash someone down
this... its strong. but without those ways to cheat it into play, at 8 mana, and requiring you to go to combat, and have other creatures in play... i just don't see it as universally powerful.
its still a fantastic card and will be ridiculous when set up right. i mean, who doesn't love the idea of mirror box in play with an elesh norn, or like an avenger of zendikar and a doubling season... i just think its going to take a little more work and be a little more open to disruption - which means its close but not quite on par with hoof.
there's also a lot to be said about making the assumption this will come down early. in most cases it won't, and myriad wood elves or coiling oracle of whatever on turn 6+ isn't terrible but its not as impactful as copying a terror of the peaks or something higher in cmc - so there is some board stability and setup required too
again, not a bad card by any stretch, just not an auto-include on par with hoof as everyone seems to suggest.
So your response HERE is addressed to the people of Redddit and the internet as a whole. Gotcha.
AND here also obviously. Seems you like to read only what is convenient to you.
so you made a comment that applied to all of ONE person here, I call you on it, then you say it applies to people across the entirety of the internet, I call you on THAT, and then you revert to the fact it applied to all of ONE person here.
What a clown.

What you said it's literally all wrong:
1) It's not only 1 comment since I explained previously that I referred also to the ones that also but not only, in this thread made enthusiastic comments of how "amazing, etc" was the ability, and that already make false your statement
2) If it's only one, or two, or one million people I'm referring to, here or elsewhere, I fail to see how it's relevant and why you even feel to point that out this like almost you wannna feel to "outsmart" me, but in the end it just reveal a childish behavior in the same line of Nelson of the Simpson doinng "ah-ha." to Bart for whatever foolishness.
3) Oh, seems you didn't said nothing at the end to Xric, just my comments were not ok for you for whatever reason. We're using double standards I see.
4) If you wanna see a real clown, buy a mirror. Have a nice day sir.
Hilariously, it also shuts off attacking with your Commander unless you're looking to sacrifice it.
I would say CocoaPuffs, but it's the wrong color. So maybe run it in Yosei, the Morning Star to be mean? I guess if you pay the mana cost, you deserve to win.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
On the one hand, I really like Myriad as a fun mechanic and have a couple of decks that this would theoretically slot into. On the other hand, that mana cost is more than a little prohibitive.

Mirror Box could solve that problem for you. I'd be happy with multiple Elesh Norns.
but the legendary rule will kill most of them, except for cases with a mirror box or similar. That's the reason the yosei combo is so frustratingly powerful. Still don't see why people hate on white in edh. mono-white is great for stuff like this.

I mean Yosei, the Morning Star is currently how I'm using Blade of selves+Anointed Procession to be an actual monster. this is just part 2 of that so I'm thrilled.
I want multiple Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
On that topic, do the copies also deal Commander damage?
Or only the original?
Only the original. "Commander" applies to the physical card(s), and cannot be removed or copied.
