Descent into Avernus 2R
Enchantment (Rare)
At the beginning of your upkeep, put two descent counters on Descent into Avernus. Then, each player makes X treasure tokens and Descent into Avernus deals X damage to each player, where X is the number of descent counters on Descent into Avernus.
Mirror of Life Trapping 4
Artifact (Rare)
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, if it was cast, exile it then return all other permanent cards exiled with Mirror of Life Trapping to the battlefield under their owners' control. Quenton barely had a moment to admire her stunning beauty before what was happening hit her.
I hope we get more campaigns as enchantments, even if they're not as high-profile as this one. The mirror is cool too, if a weird way to delay creatures and/or double their ETB effects.
Descent's wording almost feels like a glorified variant of Cumulative Upkeep. Hmm...makes you wonder what's coming up in Dominaria United and The Brothers' War

Seems like a whooole lot of rehashing old concepts without making the references obvious .

But the whole point of Cumulative Upkeep is that you can choose not to pay it.
"Mirror of Life Trapping" sadly won't dispatch tokens or cheated-in creatures for you. Maybe build around it with ETB/LTB triggers or by cheating in creatures yourself?

That's why I said a glorified version.
I do like the mirror though. What would be top ETB/LTB triggers we could abuse the most here? I instantly think of things like Skyclave Apparition et al.

Descent: that’s definitely a attempt of a fixed version of Braid of Fire oh and one millisecond I already have are evil combo with it and that’s purity (you gain life when they lose it since it’s non combat damage nor life loss)
mirror: this card is Basically a weaker and less confusion version of Portcullis
I'm ALMOST tempted to run Descent in Torbran, Thane of Red Fell. With Torbran out, Descent is a five-turn clock for the entire table on its own plus ramp. With a damage doubler like Furnace of Rath out, it's a 3-turn clock.
Sure, giving your opponents treasures isn't always smart, but it COULD work.
Mirror of Lifetrapping is surprisingly interesting anti-commander deck, though it's kind of sneaky.
When someone casts their (creature) commander and it enters the battlefield, they have to choose whether A) they return it back to the command zone from exile (kind of pointless) or B) they let it get exiled with the promise of returning later... but they may lose their commander permanently if the mirror is destroyed (really dangerous).

Then you can add Dovescape to make sure nobody can do anything they actually want to do
