5 damage is a lot in Limited, but with the multiplayer element of Commander Legends drafts, this is here to keep your damage count snowballing and finish things off. Otherwise, this exists to keep your Dragon count high in Commander.
I like how they're covering the faces of the characters in the Background cards. It makes it feel like YOU are the one embarking on a campaign or overseeing it.
I had to recalculate my impressions of Backgrounds. At first I thought dang having a lot in the deck would be nuts, but they only affect commander creatures. So having a few that would help you esp. if it's integral to your deck's strategy. But to go all out seems counterproductive and takes up valuable slots.

I do like that it's just straight damage, not combat damage or combat damage to an opponent. Even if your 5-power creatures get blocked, you'll still get a token.
