The official start of CLB preview season should start in around 15 minutes after this thread is made. This post will be updated during and after the show to present all the cards previewed during the show.
The complexity on MtG cards is just getting crazy. It's like reading a book sometimes and rereading just to figure out what it does. Plus no reminder text on what these things do.
All these seem like a lot of noise that don't do as much as they seem so no too excited about it.
I like the Gate.

for several cards nice try blake i know damn well its damage control your just showing the cards the evil leaker revealed
now for the not seen cards
Volo 2: HA! thats actually ridiculous easy card draw and they did the exact same thing as last time for him "no tribal matters"
white plum adventurer: easy one you finish the dungeon it's basically Drumbellower reprint
Bauldr's gate: OKAAAAY! mazes end already spiked to $8 from the leak but its gonna spike again bauldr's gate gives you mana per gate so you definitely can do gate matters legend without 5 color based on all these monocolored ones
Face commanders for decks:
(UB)....ugh im not looking forward to facing him that's defiantly a dimir variant of sen triplets so homeward path might spike just to use as anti tech against this guy.
(RG) easy this commander will simply be Prosper, Tome-Bound but switching B for G and probably wolf tribal as well (without werewolf)
(UR) no comment that was leaked I just didn't know it was a face commander
(WB) dose it beat Tazri, Beacon of Unity? but its a great start since the full party part is nasty
Elminster: (art was leaked but not what he does) now this will be a interesting brew thats a better scry matters legend than Eligeth, Crossroads Augur bonus point since this could be the azorius version of Mizzix of the Izmagnus as well
Myrkul: thats looks like a pretty cool abzan legend you can exile creatures to turn them into enchantments...but at the same time... they did it again they gonna spike Devoted druid (because of myrkul making the druid a enchantment it can't die from the -1/-1 counter so...again infinite G)
Livaan: YIKES! you can easy turn your commanders into one-hit wonders with this.
Lozhon: now we need a RGWU adventure matters legend since gorion is missing R (fortunately bant is better with adventures looking at eldraine)
faceless one: thats are prismatic piper end of story knew this was coming
Battle angels: Hey what do you know myriad is coming back! you basically get all 3 if your not the S tier of each category if all 3 hit. so we can say this is a budget and worse alternative to Smuggler's Share
bramble sovereign: GREAT reprint that card needed it big time its not worth $25 and both arts are fantastic (it does alot of work in my Garth token deck)
Where's the reminder text???? I can't play these cards if they don't say what they do.
CARDS SHOULD SAY WHAT THEY DO!!!!
But yeah, beyond disliking the set's general concept and mechanics, I don't find many of these cards interesting. I've never been so disinterested in a set. They don't even have any good reprints. I bet they don't even reprint City of Brass or Birds of Paradise. I'm usually not one of the people saying "wah wah, bad set", but this just seems hollow. And the cards failing to say what they do just seems insulting.
I'm not that hard to please. Just a few neat lands or good reprints would do the trick... I was totally against the first dnd set (much as I love dnd), but it had some stuff I like in it.
And once again, someone really dropped the ball on Rilsa Raels alt frame with the graphic design. That "Kingpi" bothers me. I wish I could just go into their graphics program and fix it. It would take ten minutes.
I think part of what bothers me with the DnD sets is it just doesn't feel like DnD to me. I was never very interested in their official DnD worlds and novels. DnD is all about making your own worlds and characters. These characters don't feel like DnD to me. They're not like the characters I've played with, and they're not in the settings I've played in. It's more of a video game crossover than anything. I know there are people who like official modules. I guess this feels like DnD to those people.
Love this set so far; my biggest beef though is that they should have saved the Tarrasque for this set so they didn't have to make it so weak for Standard. Bleh.

well a miracle could land in are lap and the tarraque is the teaser of the 10/10 creature that could cost only G and it will be better

Yes that could possibly it! I was looking at each card spoiled here in hopes of finding it...but I couldn't.
I bet it has something that has a "This costs X less to cast, where X is the number of creatures attacking you/you attacked with." It fits in with the Jaheira's Respite theme.

Lulus standard artwork is adorable.
I am not sure how good Tyrs Battle Angels will be. I mean for 4 Mana you get a 4/4 with flying and myriad. That is already solid but if I read the text correctly than the player gets nothing if 2 opponents have the same amount of hand cards, life and lands on the field or the player has the most of those. I mean you will get something for sure while playing mono white. Myriad works good with Giada, too.
I wish Faceless One was a loophole allowing three+ color backgrounds, but this is cool too. A lot of neat possibilities. I really want to try the abzan God & jeskai legend as generals.
So far the revealed Planeswalkers are Elminster in Blue White, Tasha Witch Queen in Blue Black, and Minsc in Red Green. The wiki thinks its a full allied coloured Planeswalker cycle, so that leave red black (most likely Strahd IMHO), and Green White (Drizzt as a Planeswalker this time).

I haven't double-checked every card, but it seems every common and uncommon has (on their default version) reminder text for every nonevergreen mechanic - in some cases even for evergreen mechanics like scry, mill and menace. The one exception is taking the initiative - which is in line with becoming the monarch, where the reminder text appears on the marker card.

These sets (Also the previous Commander draft set) put a lot of effort into setting up interesting interactions for their "max and match" cards (partner/Backgrounds) and that often results in complex yet individually uninteresting seeming cards. I don't know whether the impression will improve over time, but they really fail that first impression.

I mean, Baldur's Gateis a video game series, so at least for this set the feeling of a video game crossover is spot on.
I feel the set relies too much on familiarity with the source material. When they did the same thing in the first Commander draft set, the required familiarity was with MtG lore, so they had a lot they could expect from MtG players. This time though there was more hand-holding required than they seem to provide to create a coherent feel to the setting.
I'm familiar enough with D&D to get a lot, but even I feel the set is just a mess of ideas - in part that's what Commander can feel like, but it feels like the wrong aspect of the Commander Constructed metagame to represent in their Limited set. Maybe it's more the unhealthy ratio of rarities in the revealed cards, too, that helps along that impression.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Between the sudden influx of Treasure Tokens that started after Throne of Eldraine , and the sudden advancement in complexity that shot up after Zendikar , and the dispensement of so very many hackable abilities ,
Magic: the Gathering ; surely seems like a chest full of shining rubies and emeralds , doesn·t it ?
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

As someone who knows basically nothing about dnd, I found AFR and what I've seen of this set as a bizarre mess of unpronounceable gibberish. Some cool cards for sure but easily my least favourite setting.
How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
