I guess you can say “you activated my trap” with a card that doesn't have the “trap” type (in fact might be the first I seen a card with the type missing.)
anyway the trap is you get x as the cmc instead if someone draws too many cards
As incidental as it seems, the cost reduction pushes the power of this card a fair bit over stroke of genius. Especially with all the connive effects running around.
