Hmmm, I'm often willing to play Death's Shadow when I have 9 life out of 20, and I get a 4/4 for my efforts. I suspect Shadow of Mortality will not be a good buddy of Death's Shadow as a result.
On the other hand, we may have found a new friend for Calibrated Blast decks!
this is much better in EDH than Death Shadow. At 27 life it costs BB. 7/7 with no evasion isn't an automatic inclusion or anything, but if you have ways to give some evasion it's a heck of a good value.

Reminds me of some graffiti i once saw scrawled on the edge of a countertop in the dilapedated supervisor·s room of an abandoned factory in the middle of a ravine .
"This isn·t the way we would have liked the world handed down to us, but"
Also reminds me of the scene in Haloid where Samus grabs Master Chief with a To line and slams them into a building .
I think that Shadow of Mortality is a good addition alongside Death's Shadow on Suicide decks.
Basically at 7 life points, Shadow of Mortality is a 7/7 vanilla for BB, whereas Death's Shadow is a 6/6 for vanilla B.
==> not broken, but still valuable considering that the higher CMC can be useful to avoid spell such as Enginered Explosives or similar.
Death's Shadow at home is weaker, but still plenty playable.

third does this confirm my theory of All-Seeing Arbiter is part of a cycle I heard off rarity cycles exist (particularly in RTR)

Volrath the Fallen would argue otherwise.
Also slightly disappointed Emrakul, the Promised End already did the 13.
Like 4 mana in standard, 2 in eternal formats, 6 in limited. There was a green 5 mana 10/10 that didn't really get played.
