Secret Lair February Superdrop:
Introducing: Kaito Shizuki — Artist Rorubei brings alternative art treatments for Magic: The Gathering’s newest high-tech ninja planeswalker, Kaito Shizuki.
Kamigawa: The Manga: The Cards — Artist RIYOU KAMEI created cards using art from the official Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty manga.
Li’l Walkers — Artist UTA NATSUME presents planeswalkers in an adorable Chibi style.
Pictures of the Floating World — Artists AMAYAGIDO, AOJI MAIKO, Nagano, SHIE NANAHARA, and TOMOHITO created beautiful lands in the style of Ukiyo-e, an iconic style of Japanese art traditionally found in wood block prints and paintings.
Shades Not Included — Artist Ben Schnuck gives lands the ‘80s-inspired synthwave treatment.
Showcase: Neon Dynasty — These cards display neon ink foils that sport a fluorescent ink that pops right off the card and features art from artists AI NANAHIRA, ESUTHIO, SENNSU, and ZOUNOSE.
Special Guest: Yuko Shimizu — Artist Yuko Shimizu is an award-winning Japanese illustrator based out of New York City. She brings her unique mashup of traditional Japanese art and modern concepts.
I might get the SF one because I'm a fan of the series and I like the cards, but the rest are a hard pass for me, even if some of them do have the value.
Note that the Japanese hideaway lair is the fact that they are reworking how hideaway works.
Instead of “hideaway” automatically meaning that the card etbs tapped and looks at the top 4, these cards specify “Hideaway 4” and have “this land etbs tapped” on a separate line.
Would not be surprised if stashing away the goods from the cops hideaway returns in the near future.

Would hideaway work in new capena since that’s a mafia/mobster set?
that’s not what they said on this they got a oracle change
Now they say
Hideaway 4
“Land name” enters the battlefield tapped
t: add “color it produces”
“Color mana”, t: “condition” you may play the exiled card without paying its mana cost
And the number thing is different because Watcher for Tomorrow is hideaway 3 instead of 4 and it puts into hand
You know what’s happening here? I think they may have accidentally revealed hideaway will be a mechanic in new capena and it fits the set with stashes
That’s what I was hinting, all right.
Now that hideaway is a bit more versatile, I think that there is a broader variety of things that can be done with it (such as letting you reveal the hidden card to work a bit like Hidden Agenda Conspiracies, for example).
The Kamigawa Hideaway lands are gorgeous, but I can't respect that they're in a Secret Lair. Fortunately, the Lorwyn ones are just as beautiful and original, so I'll stick with those. I do wish I had kept my original Shelldock Isle. Had no idea it would rise like that, having been a quarter at one point. Ah well.
Otherwise, I haven't much liked SLs. Can't complain about that though. It's a relief.
Good news a most flavorful non lightning art for lightning bolt I have ever seen. (Thought it could have just been fireball)
Huh, new template. The card uses the Godzilla treatment name in the card text instead of the real card name. Wonder if this is just a one-off, SL-only, or the plan moving forward.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Street Fighter Plus-
Street fighter lair
Chibi Planeswalkers
Artist series: Yuko Shimizu
Kaito themed lair (I guess you can call this spell book kaito)
Magna drop/artist series: Riyou kamei
Showcase: neon dynasty (it has 2 cards around $25)
Basic land — Synthwave (vapor wave theme) (and yes they still only one of each)
All 5 hideaway lands but in that Ukiyo-E basic land art style
Nothing here that stands out, but the SF one is probably the most attractive.

and the pricing for street fighters lair is not even close to obnoxious
It’s just $40 (non-foil) and $50 (foil)
and the new boseiju
you might want to look on further inspection
This is what they currently look like
but here’s the thing…

no it’s bribery it’s literally exactly the same price as the lair (around $30)

bad news no M. bison nor Akuma.
Good news a most flavorful non lightning art for lightning bolt I have ever seen. (Thought it could have just been fireball)
Hope for something for whole set like Ikoria with tons of Godzilla crossover but with another Street Fighter Crossover or the whole Capcom instead
I imagined if there were two cards instead one as the last piece
If Lava Spike was Shoryuken and Glacial Ray was Hadouken,
Like the player can functionally SPAM another Hadouken like in the game if he had a Shoryuken
But more importantly, we need M. Bison or (hopefully) an Akuma MDFC with a Raging Demon sorcery on the back side
Sorry, what? Are you saying that they're changing Watcher for Tomorrow to look at only three cards instead of four?
