Tamiyo's adopted son has found the secret to applying the first two abilities of Bolas's Citadel to his opponents. I'd credit that to being raised by a planeswalker. Also here are three commons, one of which has a lot of tropes bundled onto it. (Yes, the blackcards here were leaked already, whatever.)
Again, I swear Nashi looks and sounds more like a mono-blue artificer than a mono-black ninja in both Episode 3 and his regular art.
You Are Already Dead reminds me of the trope where someone gets slashed in two, still looks alive for several seconds, and then realizes that they got slashed in two, so then they fall apart and die.
Nashi would be nice if it didn't force you to pay life. If it was either pay life or spend mana then it would be a fine card, but I'd rather just play Grenzo or the other dozen cards that do similar things from Daxos to Thief of Sanity.

The title of the card comes from a line in Fist of the North Star. I am not a fan of a card with that name.

I think actually it's fine to leave that decision down to which card you pick, since some players will opt to want to pay the life, and some the mana. If one card did both it would obsolete the ones that only did one.
I think Nashi is kind of crazy! Three mana Etali, Primal Storm? Kind of. Three mana Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer? Also, kind of. Having to hit with a nonevasive beater or ninjutsu it in at four mana makes it pretty balanced. I don't know if it needed to be mythic.

I don't think it would obsolete anything. It's still a 3/2 that only has evasion one time where as cards like Daxos or Theif or Thada Adel have their evasion all the time. Yes, you see them from a mile away before they can swing, but with Nashi there's a chance you don't have the life to cast any of the cards revealed and that's the difference between them. Either you can't risk taking your life low enough or you don't have enough.

I didn't even see that it's mythic, that makes it slightly worse. It's most certainly balanced, but as a mythic it's definitely meh when comparing it to many others we've gotten in the past. Maybe if you could cast as many as you could for life this could be interesting, but honestly, to me, there are far better cards at the same CMC with the same effect.
Honestly, I'd rather play Ornate Kanzashi, if you're looking for another Kamigawa card that does similar.
The benefits for Nashi are 1. it hits both decks so you can play your own cards if they're more suited to your deck, and 2. the wording is "play" not "cast" so you can play lands even if you get unlucky and topdeck two lands, as opposed to playing nothing if you topdeck a land with ragavan or etali.
Folks have speculated on a new card type. I am now wondering if it's going to also be a time-limited card type like a land that you play instead of casting.
I have a feeling this set will be quite successful. Maybe not "Return there as often as we can"-success like Zendikar, Innistrad, Ravnica and Dominaria, but certainly Tier-2-success. So we can probably look forward to more family members on the next return.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Network Disruptor could be fun, especially when Aether Vialed in.
