That's a super cute picture for the dog <3. They're really going al out on this "Only triggers once per turn" clause aren't they?
SPLINTER!
So are enchantment creatures the modern way of representing kami then? Either way, those signpost uncommons are pretty tight. Enchantment shenanigans here I come! (Always been a fan of enchantress-style decks).

Nah, the enchantment creatures so far look sponsored and enhanced by kami but aren't kami themselves. (Think how some of the artifact creatures in Kamigawa are cyborgs, not full robots.)
Spirited Companion will likely find some use in Pioneer and up, though.
Tameshi looks kinda clunky and vulnerable, but his abilities combined look really powerful. He'd put Lurrus of the Dream-Den to shame if he didn't need to keep bouncing lands and if he could target all nonland permanent types. As-is, Lurrus recurs Mishra's Bauble a third of the time or more in Modern, so Tameshi can similarly pull an Emry, Lurker of the Loch or something.
So how many draft signpost uncommons are going to reduce the cost of your stuff by in this set. We're three for three.
I did not expect the Unspeakable.
Like the new Nezumi visuals, despite also liking the old Nezumi visuals. New Akki visuals seem like a downgrade to me. Too much Dragon-kin/Rock-Elemental in it for my liking.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.
[thread=239793][Game] Level Up - Creature[/thread]
Tameshi is just bananas with Lotus Bloom or Black lotus. It's not once per turn so you can just make stupid amounts of mana with even like 3 lands in play.
Tameshi seems right up my alley, both powerlevel- and mechanics-wise. I always thought an Azorius "bounce" commander would be a neat niche, and here we have one. He's not obviously OP to the point that simply playing him will make you the archenemy, and the second ability adds some neat utility while also being a callback to the old moonfolk cards.
I don't know why the placed the character so low in the art frame though - the whole picture should be moved up just a bit. So a 9/10 overall.
Gorgeous artwork on Secluded Courtyard, and very pleasing effect as well!
I love Jukai Naturalist. Exceptional card for Enchantress, and I love the art.
I have mixed feelings regarding the Nyx border. On one hand I appreciate the consistency and return of enchanmtnet creatures. On the other, Kamigawa lacks Nyx, so it is rather awkward. But overall I suspect consistency should take priority so it's fine.
Tameshi is interesting... hmm. I may consider him as a Commander when I see what Wizards and Soratami are offered. I love the W activation and mono-blue base. Art is exquisite I am surprised WOTC retained the land bounce aspect of Soratami since it's so... ugh. But if supported, could work
Got to test Tameshi in Modern UWR Underworld Breach Midrange-Combo. He's pretty expensive there, and he definitely wants an artifact or enchantment in the bin before you play him, but he wins the game within a few turns or less quite often by assembling the combo. If you time him right, your opponent can boot him immediately and you still go up 2 cards (the drawn card and the reanimated card). Tameshi is pretty good at both reanimating Underworld Breach and Grinding Station, enabling you to dig for the combo purely by feeding Grinding Station to itself, self-milling, and reanimating the Station. Bouncing Urza's Saga is a cool bonus.
This week on Weekly MTG is the debut stream aftershow, with Kaito's old friend, and an Arcane callback.

I like the new, cuter nezumi art direction.
Secluded Courtyard says goodbye Primal Beyond.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."

Cool to see blue/red actually get the artifacts matter theme that the Izzet kinda seem like they should have.
