Reconfigure looks even more dangerous than Living Weapon in some ways, and with more vulnerability and more power-lowering knobs in others. I like the mechanic already.
Tanukis getting assigned the Dog creature type and only the Dog creature type really rubs me the wrong way, though. Wolves get their own creature type and they're also canids - why can't we label tanukis "Raccoon Dog" at the very least or give them their own creature type at most? Culturally, I don't think the Japanese treat tanukis like dogs, anyway - cue the Japanese stories of inu (the Japanese for dog) and inugami.
They finally fixed licids. Much easier rules than Calming Licid, etc..
