Whenever you cast an artifact, instant or sorcery spell, copy that spell. You may choose new targets for the copy.
Whenever an opponent casts an artifact, instant or sorcery spell for the first time each turn, counter that spell.

that is 100% a 5/3, it doesn't look anything like the first 5. so your 7 drop dies to Bolt. But the abilities are almost certainly pushed to hell. it's one of the flagship mythics of the set and a blue card, it has to get banned in SOME format

Project Booster Fun makes it less fun to open a booster.
The first line of rules text of this new card is significantly longer than on the Phyrexian Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, so at least they didn't just rip off Jin-Gitaxias's first card's Phyrexian text.
Based on every single line of the new card extending past the halfway point of the Phyrexian watermark, the first line of the Phyrexian Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur not even reaching that point, and that first line probably meaning "Flash", my current bet is that the new Jin-Gitaxias does not have Flash.

If that's the case then it probably has activated hexproof or some sort of defence to that effect. Else it dies to a lot of the red-based removal in the Standard format. Elsewhere? Fogeddaboutit. Might as well pick up your ball and go home.

So basically the MaRo rumor about copying applies to Jin-Gitaxias? This does make sense, and it does (sort of) have the 'help me / hurt you' aspect that the Praetors have historically had.
Also, the second clause makes a lot of sense as protection if Gitaxias is a 5/3.
"So I've had a few minutes to do comparisons. Here's what I've got for you:
1. First and foremost, as far as I can tell from the photos I've found, this Jin-Gitaxias does NOT have a keyword ability, unless it's a new one
2. There are six total words that both paragraphs have in common, four of which we definitely know the meaning of: "When/Whenever", "artifact", "spell" and "control".
3. There is one word that appears in both with what we have previously determined to be a inversion clause. So probably "you" vs "not you".
4. The other important detail is this clause is used as an individual word near the end of the second clause.
From this I have what I believe to be a viable translation (NOT CONFIRMED! I HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO TALK TO OTHER TRANSLATORS! THIS IS MY FIRST BEST GUESS!)

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.

pretty much like all the other phyrexian praetor cards
so far the only one that’s not overly brutal is Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider downside and the only reason is you could accidentally give a opponent and infinite
(I didn't say Urabrask the Hidden because a bunch of cards do that effect and all are hated)

Ooh a built-in Erayo's Essence. I like it. If it's a 5/5 then that makes it better.
Good thing they nixed Divide and Epiphany. Egad that would be bonkers if this is the true text of the card.
Edit: This seems to fit the "Double the effect for me, halve it for my opponent" theme introduced with Vorinclex II. This seems to be the most likely the case for Jin-Gitaxias.
We can then begin to speculate on what the abilities of the remaining praetors could be if they appear in the near future.
The big question, then, is if the second ability stops the first spell cast by “an” opponent each turn (takes a bit of cooperation to kill) or by “each” opponent each turn (cooperation is meaningless).
The phyrexian language Vorinclex in Kaldheim was in with the showcase cards at the end, so it's probably not 307. That said, they do seem to have done a little rearranging as Atsushi's borderless alt art is all the way up at 410 when those have been right after the borderless walkers before.
The first line of rules text of this new card is significantly longer than on the Phyrexian Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, so at least they didn't just rip off Jin-Gitaxias's first card's Phyrexian text.

But he might have Hexproof!
There's only one paragraph break in the text, so he likely has no keywords.
Between that and the apparent 3 toughness, this does not seem like a very good card.

Well, it dies to two bolts cast in the same turn. Counters the first one.
This fits the "double for me, half/none for you" vibe of the previous praetors. Oh so un-fun to play against.

if the collector number is 307
that confirms 4 walkers since kaito is 305
It's a Legendary Creature - Phyrexian Praetor that does stuff

Best I can do at the moment is say that the creature type line ends the same way, so 'Praetor'. So that's a bit of verisimilitude.

if you look at the very first word on the ability area
and the vorinclex from kaldheim
i think i can make out "Whenever" on the jin gitaxias
