“Nashi” a nezumi Tamiyo adopted after her home village was destroyed by none other than tezzeret. This also includes Rumiyo and hiroku
Yeah, the Tezzeret connection is what cements Nashi's place in the set. Question now is if his mother (and maybe father?) would be in the set.
Honestly, if Tamiyo's NOT in this set, WTH is Wizards even doing?
Limited number of planeswalker slots per set and Kaito, Wanderer and Tezzeret being more story important and the fact Tamiyo is a planeswalker who can in theory appear in any set.
That said while Tezzeret is plot important and as it looks like this set has a artifact theme going so Tezzeret as a card would fit well, nothing yet has locked him in over Tamiyo. At the moment he could be off plane and we end the story with Kaito seeking to find him.
And there is always the possibility they have 4 walkers card in the set as well.
you know there’s literally a teaser involving the first artifact abilities costing 2 less to activate that’s probably tezzeret +# or static ability

I dunno; that could very well be for a Soratami artificer or Nashi. (That kind of text seems like Chief Engineer to me.)

I don't think Tezzeret will get a card in NEO. He's being set up as a multi-planar BBEG, I think it's too soon in the plot for him to make an appearance on a card.
