that…is just gonna be hell to deal with in limited
and Not to mention the second death trigger is pretty much reanimate but only 2 life regardless of target and do I need to mention it’s saids “a graveyard” instead of “your graveyard”.
and even worse they clearly forgot about the legends rule with……clone effects you just infinite death triggers because clones are shapeshifters not dragons, so you can target the clone/itself if you have life gain the one card in particular for this Kheru Bloodsucker
Once more, Kokusho blows everything out of the water.
hold on a sec we still need to see the white, blue and green one
and the jugan reincarnation is next to inevitable of not being garbage this time. And you know wizards has a addiction of making green the best of cycles.
heck jugan is the one who made the reincarnation of each other happen in the first place
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
I don't consider him as good as people above think he is. If anything I find the red one slightly better coz he is more versatile. Junji is gonna be better in draft but in standard and commander the red one trumps over him.
I do expect the green one to be the best of the cycle.
I kind of like it as a Vindictive Lich 2.0, a little more expensive, but the reanimation option is welcome, and flexible enough to include opponent's graveyards
Doesn't go infinite with a clone if you have to lose 2 life every time.
well, you still need something to win the game with that combo and a ton of stuff gains you life or makes opponents lose life as creatures enter battlefield or die anyway.... so, it still seems like a somewhat viable combo in the right deck.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Would it be a balanced uncommon if it cost 1-2 more mana? If so, it's pushed for no reason other than rarity, and not good design.
7 mana for this seems like a pretty balanced uncommon to me.
What should a 5/5 flying menace cost? Probably 6 mana. If the french vanilla version would cost more than the actual version costs, that's not a well designed card.
If it's okay to charge less for something just because of it's rarity, it severely cheapens the meaning of the mana curve. This shoulda been a 4/4 or cost more, just like Doom Whisperer before it.
I'm not annoyed about this card, I'll just not play it in my cube. There are of overpushed mythics I don't play, and I hate them all. What I'm annoyed by is the lazy design principal: a mythic creature is like a normal creature of the same cost, but with much better stats. This produces consistently poor design on flagship cards so as to make them splashy and devastating.
But that's a critique of the game in general, not really this card. This is just one of many many examples.

A 5/5 flying menace with modal death triggers that both generate concrete value in response to a kill spell would absolutely never appear at uncommon at any cost. a 5/5 flying menace, yeah for sure. A blockable ground-walker with modal death triggers? absolutely, if it's on theme. But all of these together? No way.

Right, it would be disgusting as an uncommon even at 7 mana. If anything i think that WOTC messed up a bit with rare vs mythic design in the last set, where we have absolute ground-breaking bombs like Dreadfeast Demon and Hullbreaker Horror at rare instead of mythic. I think that this is really bad for limited, so many times I've been blown out of the water from one of those cards while I was in an almost impossible to lose from position and vice-versa I've overthrown a winning opponent by casting one of those.

Definitely solid, seems a better choice than Ebondeath for a finisher.
Hopefully this (or like, literally anything else) replaces Ebondeath in the next iteration of vintage cube and any other cubes Ebondeath is currently appearing in.
This card seems very strong!

Block.
Good power wise. Non-Dragon ia there to prevent abuse, but sadly rules it out of Dragon Reanimator Decks.

5 mana for a 5/5 flying menace is alright.
then it has pure card advantage on his death triggers.

I do expect the green one to be the best of the cycle.

if you read my comment again I mentioned the third piece
Kheru Bloodsucker the clone will always be 5/5 always triggering it.
And atleast 2 blood artist effects works too.
At least in the "casual" world stuff like that is kinda nice way to win with clones of all kinds.
