light paws, Emperors voice
1W
legednary creature - Fox advisor
2/2
whenever a aura enters the battlefield under your control, if you cast it, you may search your library for an aura card with mana value less than or equal to that aura and with different name than each aura you control, then put that card onto the battlefield attached to Light paws, Emperor's voice, then shuffle
(Ps this was one of the statues from the earlier leak so that’s legit now)
Mukotai Soulripper
1B
Artifact - Vehicle
4/3
Whenever Mukotai Soulripper attacks, you may sacrifice another artifact or creature. if you do put a +1/+1 counter on Mukotai Soulripper and it gains menence till end of turn.
Crew 2
Jeeeeez that just insane you can sac a creature (rider) or artifact for a +1/+1 counter and menace is obsurd it’s a 5/4 on the first attack for 2 mana
Kami of Transcience
1G
Creature — spirit
2/2
Trample
whenever you cast a enchantment spell, put a +1/+1 counter on Kami of Transcience.
At the beginning of each endstep, if an enchantment was put into your graveyard from the battlefield this turn, you may return Kami of Transcience from your graveyard to your hand.
My goodness a spirit with trample that inflates as fast as a balloon in a enchantress deck and if a enchantment goes to the yard it comes right back and again 2 mana
There was a theory on Reddit that enchantments will represent old Kamigawa while artifacts will represent new Kamigawa, and so far that stands.
Also Kami of Transcience is more or less a Sawsbuck. Pokemon kami?
wow never heard that theory how did a miss that but yep sounds promising to me
Also yep that’s right despite the negativity we’re still getting the wacky/pokemon looking spirits for this set for this case it typing really fits “elemental elk”

The kami issue first time around was that the kami where made to look as unnatural and weird as possible with little to no resemblance to anything in actual shinto mythology. While weird-ish looking the "elk elemental" def looks like a nature spirit vs the eldrazi looking stuff from last time.

I was thinking Soulshift would come back (it still looks powerful and kinda fun concept-wise), but who needs Soulshift when you've got spirits like Kami of Transcience?
I don't think Light Paws is going to be a big deal anywhere. In Standard, not enough good auras (unless those are coming). In commander, it could go in Sram, Senior Edificer, but I expect Sram will be the better commander.
Kami of Transience would have been great in standard with Theros Beyond Death. Without, depends what else Neon Dynasty brings. Would work well with traditional sagas, but not transforming ones.
I would not be surprised based on these cards if we get the tools for a new standard enchantress deck. Neither is quite Setessan Champion, but they're good enough to start putting ideas in my head.
Light-Paws is the kind of White card advantage I can get behind! This can easily be it's own commander and it legit could have some constructed viability. Any 2 drop aura (lets say All that Glitters) into Daybreak Coronet (7/7 vigilance, life link, first strike) is pretty fantastic.
Alternatively 3, 1 manna enchantments turning it into 6 and hit like a truck.
In what universe? If you build a deck like that, and ever draw that hand, I will personally come to wherever you live, perform complicated acts of awestruck ********, then disembowel myself to escape the world that allowed something like this to occur and validate you.
This sucks. We just had a craptacular theros set last year based on enchantments. Seems like they are finally running out of ideas. Also, commander decks based on enchantments are incredibly boring to play against so please stop helping that genre!

Well, that's it guys, they printed a set with enchantments again. Game's dead.
TBD was released 2 years ago and had a pretty meh enchantment sub-theme. With just a few cards this already seems totally different. Sorry you're not into it man.
I really really dont like all the powercreep on random creatures we get.
The saddest part, even with this creep, they are mostly still unplayable or bad in constructed ...
(But at least they are pushed enough so you at least want to try to play them and work to make it happen)
----
Soulripper works in affinity / robots decks, but is it worth it ? Playing 4 is probably massive overkill.
"Hammer" decks probably outperform it still.
The "aura" creature does not have hexproof, so its basically unplayable
Probably more of a gimmick card.
The Kami would work really well with "Seal" spells, as they are cheap enchantments are easy to sacrifice when you want them to.
Could be a thing for some "lurrus" decks, but in the end lurrus is carrying and probably gets banned anyway.
Plight-Paws...I'm not sure whether to equate it to the rebel mechanic or cascade for auras. Either way I love it. The sneaky enchantment theme from Innistrad will benefit a lot off this.
Awesome vehicle. There are so many artifact token generation right now it won't be hard for this to get big fast. Menace is icing on the cake.
Oh and that kamiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

I'm not sure if any of them are good enough but the Disturb auras can at least offset some of the card disadvantages that auras inherently present. As do the Runes. So, there may be something in an Auras deck.

Unfortunately, the disturb auras are a little anti-synergistic. They take the mana value of the front side, so Light-Paws looks at that value instead of what you actually pay and they exile instead of going to the graveyard, so they don't trigger Kami of Transience's second ability.

Both good points, scrap that then. I do still like the Runes, or at least I would if there were an enchantment sac outlet.
I don't understand how the Soulripper is a vehicle. No matter how I look at it I just can't see a "vehicle."
That card and the Kami look like alternate art treatments so possibly this is a more stylized, weirder version than the base version which might look more like a vehicle. We'll see.

Oh boy … ARE SERIOUS WIZARDS!?
This is just beyond psycho good card this might be where Crown of the Ages shines and yes also being Sram, Senior Edificer best friend

No problem I will do it right now

I like the 3 cards, all of them seem very efficient.
problem is, as always, for aura matters cards, it's very risky to use them and get 2 for 1'd
so how strong they actually are depends strongly on how good the instant removal is or how good the tricks to protect the creatures really are.
if you can keep stuff like that in the battlefield, chances are you're building a very strong board position in no time.

Certain auras Light Paws fetches with a cantrip is a +2 like Unquestioned Authority.
thanks very much
and yeah, that Spirit is gonna be a chase card for sure.

It's an exoskeleton/(stretch of a) mech, I suppose that's close enough.
Reminds me of that hollow, drivable person in the manga Gleipnir, though.
