Let's start the year with an 11-month-long Secret Lair. More basics will be revealed and made available throughout the year, with a new basic land in a set of 5 for each sign. Our collection now contains the Cancer, Leo, and Libra Plains; the Aquarius, Pisces and Virgo Islands; the Capricorn and Scorpio Swamps; the Aries and Gemini Mountains; and the Taurus and Sagittarius Forests. The first shipping date is April 29, during which time the site will temporarily say "out of stock" despite not ever being "out of stock" until December 23. And yes, you can order them en masse in a bundle later on.
So they make five basic lands for each sign, but rather than making one of each basic land type per sign, so everyone can pick their favorite basic land type for their personal sign, we get five Swamps for Capricorn? I disagree.

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

What's the source on this? The official Secret Lair website is really confusing and dodgy about this drop being "not Time Boxed to Demand," meaning they can run out of them, but then it says they'll continue to print more in 2022, which sounds like they won't run out... but I can't find anywhere that says there will be a big bundle at the end, and I can't find anything that says they will somehow be out of stock specifically on April 29. Is there more info on this somewhere?
fwiw, I think this is a better way to do the basic land Secret Lairs than selling one of each basic together, since now you can at least focus on getting a critical mass of one type for a deck. I still think they're a huge rip off and would never buy one, but if I loved this art (imagine the Seb McKinnon Swamp or something), there's some chance I'd grab like three of them to bling out a commander deck or something. Step in the right direction? Meh.

When it shows 'out of stock' there will be a waitlist feature for fans to be notified when we restock. The nuances are a result of our store structure and this product's longer availability.
That's a full 25-card complement of these stunning lands that will demonstrate the core traits of Capricorn players: ambition, discipline, and determination.
Astrology is an odd one, it's an excuse people use to be prejudiced against people who were born in a different place, but in relation to the Sun instead of in relation to the Earth. And when I tell people this, they call me a cancer, how rude!
the crazy part here is. some1 at wizards hat this idea, it got realized and while it still is trash... it will sell.
so did wizards do anything wrong ? i doubt it.
why do people buy this stuff ? i understand praetors and so. but this for that price. can some1 explain it to me please ?
I'm always disappointed when someone who at first seems logical ends up being into horoscopes. It's easily an eye-roll topic for me, but good on them cuz this one will definitely make them some money from the people who believe that you have a 1/12 preset personality.
I cant help but to be frustrated with this product.
Not because of the predatory nature of secret lairs, not for the card choice, or the relatively bad art, not even over the price. Nor even the theme.
No, i can simply opt out of this. Big deal.
What frustrates me is that with every basic land secret lair the masses *****ed and *****ed about how expensive it is to get 5 of any 1 basic since theyre sold as a kit with all 5.
Now that we have a kit where you get 5 of a single basic, making it easy to get enough for your fart themed edh deck...
...the masses complain its 5 swamps and not all 5 basics
Theme: Capricorn, essentially a mountain goat. Hm, what basic land should we put it on? Clearly a Swamp, I mean ... duh.
Also, really lame to ask for so much money for five basic lands that all have the same art to boot. If they're collector pieces, why not give five different options?
(Yes I know, "this product is not for me." I just continue to be amazed at the fact that this product is actually selling. Magic players, or the wannabe stock brokers who hoard collector products, are true addicts)
Do you mean Aries? Cause what kind of fish tail goats have you seen scaling mountain?

Capricorns are ambitious, goal-oriented and willing to give up a lot in order to reach their goals, so black/swamp seems like a pretty good fit.

A ram (Aries) is a male sheep, an ibex (Capricorn) is a type of wild goat, which are well-known for being able to scale insane cliff faces despite not looking like it. Going by habitat, Aries should be plains, and Capricorn should be mountain. I guess they're going by the traits ascribed to the sign, although I bet they won't be giving Pisces or Cancer any forests or mountains...
i think it is swamp because its not a fire sign, but an earth sign
there r 4 categories for the 12 signs
wind, water, fire, earth
since lion, archer and aries are fire, i think they will use mountains for them
aquarius for example is water. so i wonder if he will be an island or only the 3 signs that are fish, cancer, scorpion
on the other hand, islands are often used when it comes to wind like cards
do they make the lands based on the sign category or what people imagine with the sign or creature ?
or maybe they made it just random
the main point shouldnt be, what land it should be, but the main point should be, that this is a rather uncreative and valueless product for what they ask way to much money
I'm sure someone that has nothing better to do with their money will buy these, but it's an extreme hard pass on this and the rest of the Astrology lands for me.

Can't wait to see libra
As an actual astronomer, I should be offended.
But I'll wait until the end and just get a bundle.
Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."

Elspeth and Jhoira rock my world.
Capricorn - Swamp
Aquarious - Island
Pisces - Island
Aries - Mountain
Taurus - Mountain
Gemini - Could be anything
Cancer - Island
Leo - Plains
Virgo - Forest
Libra - Plains
Scorpio - Swamp
Saggitarious - Forest
I find it weird that Goat is in a swamp when it is easily Mountain. (Dead goat for the forced flavor)
But they could have made Gemimi Swamp to balance it and at least there are
No dead signs.
1 year rollout for all the signs is such feel bad for me.
In either case, this is a definite pass for me.
Wizards strongly implies they are going for the astrological horoscope signs when they describe Capricorn as this in https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/secret-lair-whats-your-sign:
Sounds like Black and Swamps to me.
