While we all know wizards marketing policy has been questionable as of late, I find a reprint of Rick, Steadfast Leader in another secret lair after the initial secret lair printing controversy to be a bit... too much salt on a still open wound. And for that reason I'm leaning towards these being fake as well.

Also looking at the poster's/leaker's Twitter feed she appears to create and do commissions for magic proxies. So I'm even more convinced this is a joke.

I mean, the boxes were always cheap-yet-overproduced garbage that took up too much space, at least now they take up less space?

Yes I did and yes I am. I liked the old boxes. I could carry like 9 double sleeved edh decks in my backpack with them.
Edit: also the new box inserts use too much glue. I bent one of my bonus foil land cards trying to unstuck the wrapper from the package.

I think this is definitively an open and shut case.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

I don't know who decided the face should be templated like that, but it looks awful. Then again they just look terrible in general.
