What is with the putting green Plains??? It doesn't even fit the theme and why is it numbered 670 when the others are in the 300's?
It's the bonus card, and they start the count for them at #500. For example, the white-border Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded from the April Fools Secret Lair is number 537.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
I’m sure some people will still buy this, but at this point, I’m out. I found that while they look cool and unique, they are really unappealing once they are in tbe deck/cube. The text is so hard to read and the mana costs/p/t/type lines are all over the place. Not really functional for me.
Another thing is with all the hype and fomo they give, it’s such a big letdown to get the cards months later and I realize O paid for
Expensive cardboard, haha.
I love the look of the other cards but I find that Plains almost as offensive as the garbage Faithless Looting Mystical Archive. What the Hell?
I believe this is exactly the kind of reaction that card is meant to provoke...
I like the Blood Moon, the Swords and the Aftermath card. They made me imagine a custom altered deck where all cards are full-art, tarot-style cards without any text except for the card's name. It would be terribly confusing, but also super stylish.
These mostly look very cool and are the essence of Secret Lairs should be. And the whole thing has decent value as well. At least the top three cards.
Big question is, how much will this cost? Hope it's not "big fashion house puts it logo on a baseball cap and now it costs $500." For a typical SL price, say $50 for the foil pack, this would be ok.

I could provoke a Grizzly Bear by poking it with a stick, it doesn't mean its a good idea though.
Just let us send in our own photos/artwork and pick the card and WotC prints up and that's the end of it. End game, done over. That is where this is headed.
The cards are cool. I get it. The putting green is stupid hipster nonsense posing as bleeding edge "thought".

When whales, collectors, and scalpers buy them in truck loads they have no reason to worry.
Absolutely not something you should be concerned about with these cards. No one will be going after any of these.
This may be the third Drop I purchase if they are $29.99 Anything more and I will pass. I will also trade or sell that stupid Plains to anyone with a heartbeat and recoup a little of the outlay potentially.
I am a player/collector, not a whale but do have blessing of disposable income to pop on these every once in a while.

These are fine. If you like the way these cards look and want to buy them, by golly, please go buy them and play with them!
But as to 'speccing' on them for collectors/whales/whatever..
Grim Tutor is a pretty grim card. It is a straight-up terrible rate for a Demonic Tutor. It is only valuable due to small print runs (scarcity) but no one actually plays Grim Tutor unless forced to do so. (Hopefully this reprint drives down the price on the originals.)
Blood Moon problem with choosing that card is, by now, there are lot of cool options, several of which are already alternate art/full frame/whatever. Swords to Plowshares, even moreso wow..
Rest of them are nice I guess. The Plains is trolling pretty hard.

Understood. I don't spec on these, I collect and play. Whales will buy them, hoard them and drive the prices up, that is a guarantee unfortunately.

I guess WOTC really is not concerned about product fatigue.
When whales, collectors, and scalpers buy them in truck loads they have no reason to worry.
I guess that's true but as a marketing proffesional I just really see a lot of risk for fatigue. At the end of the day the value is entirely driven by manufactured demand.

You, me, and many others agree. There's so many products I can barely keep up.
I like the Teferi's Puzzle Box art a lot, really like the cardframe, not buying an entire Secret Lair for one of the cards though... it's not even a card I feel comfortable playing in Commander...

What's next a stock photo of a kiddie pool for an island? A Mountain Dew can for a mountain? Washington DC for a swamp and Tom Hanks as Forrest (Gump)
Its not edgy, its stupid.
Can we all just stop and appreciate "Washington DC for a swamp"? Brilliant!

...I'm laughing so I don't have to cry over the absence of a leftwing party in the most powerful country in the world...
Also, MSCHF has gotta stand for "mischief", right?
I used my free Google search voucher to look them up. Apparently they are a well publicized prank merchandise group from New York. That said, with some of their "products" costing several thousand dollars, I don't expect this Secret Lair will be affordable for anyone other than Whales, but I look forward to being pleasantly surprised.
And need I remind everyone, yet again, Maro's philosophy on Magic products? Not every product is for every player.
I like this blood moon because of how prominently it sticks out on the table. It is one of those cards that changes the whole scope of play and it should stick out like a sore thumb for everyone around.

I could see that Plains in an Un-set if they kept up with the rather absurd borders and not just gone pure borderless.
