I feel like WotC just needs to bite the bullet on cards like this that care about keywords and actually use the term “keyword” in the rules text of these cards rather than giving a long cramped list of every keyword the card cares about.
It would have to be a bit more complicated than that because they probably only want to refer to keywords that matter on the battlefield (notice the absence of evergreen keyword flash), and cycling, unearth etc. are pretty easily overlooked. But something needs to happen to finally get a version of this ability that is future-roof for that time they change the line-up of evergreen keywords again. They could introduce a term like devotion e. g. "talent" that refers to the of battlefield-active keywords. Though they would have to use the reminder text for it still more often than not, which is the real kicker: How to communicate what a talent is concisely (and a list wouldn't be concise)?

Planar Chaos was not a mistake neither was it random. You might want to look at it again.

Couldn't they just define a list of Keywords called... I don't know Skills maybe? Put that list on the same card and just reference to that list on the actual effect text?
Odric, Blood-Cursed 1RW
Skills - flying, first strike, double strike, deathtouch, haste, hexproof, indestructible, lifelink, menace, reach, trample, vigilance
When Odric enters the battlefield, create X blood tokens, where X is the number of abilities listed in Skills found among creatures you control. (Count each ability only once.)
Sacrifice a blood token: Target creature get an ability of your choice listed in Skills until end of turn.

I don't get why they did a keyword soup matters Odric again when it was just one aspect of it (his last iteration)(Odric, Lunarch Marshal)
Remember, Odric keyword soup was a representation of his finesse in combat tactics and leadership... Just remember his first card Odric, Master Tactician.
This new version makes no sense both in flavor, gameplay/powerlevel and in fanservice. A total failure. If it was an uncommon in a set like commander legends than it would be understandable but this in the standard set, on the set where he turns into a vampire=becomes more powerfull... What a joke.
This. When I heard there's going to be a vampire Odric, I thought they'd give him some "manipulate combat" ability, because that's pretty thoroughly white/red and in line with his core "personality".
I don't know. He confirms that the first impression of the card was poor for many players and than that he can share some feedback to rest of the team. I don't get any other statement/information from his answer.
My thought is that they went to easy while designing this cards... I mean I can see some situation like:
Dev1: Oh Odric next... Keywords?
Rest: Yeah Keywords.
Dev2: Oh but he is a Vampire now...
Dev3: Maybe blood tokens?
Dev1: Yeah sounds great. -> Create first version of card.
Rest: -> Looked at card. Ya looks like Odric but with a touch of vampire. Approved.
Obviously the card didn't cause any problems while testing it.
Another issues is evergreen keyword change over time, older cards like intimidate new cards like menace, prowess and a few others are no longer evergreen ect meaning older cards might get functional change or might not work properly on how it meant too.

Finally a good white villain quote: "So, do I ever re-evaluate my life choices? Never, because I know what I'm doing is a righteous cause."

Wouldn't even be that good of an uncommon.
Poor Odric.
