he's just a vanilla creature after that ETB! you could have atleast gave him haste or flying or first strike?
worse because of the R pimp he can't go in Kathril, Aspect Warper that's the only keywords matter legend for the moment (i know he would have been perfect because those blood tokens discard and loot so load up on keywords in the yard.)

they turn this guy into a vampire and the best they can do is have him make blood tokens, conditionally, once?
dropping him early means no real blood token advantage since your board state won't be very developed, meaning you're getting a 3/3 for 3... and dropping him late doesn't really do dick either because if you have the board state where there are an abundance of abilities to make him produce blood tokens, well you were probably already winning and some blood tokens aren't going to change that
I don't think he's great but I also don't think he's terribad. The other versions didn't do anything unless you had a board either. This is cheaper and has (arguably) more relevant typing in the context of this Standard format. Don't think he's particularly great, but also not awful.
He is okay I guess. Not something I want to have in the commander zone for sure. You don't need a whole board. Just having Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh would give 3 blood tokens. Lets see what the commander vampire deck is doing with those token in red. At the moment there isn't much. Blood Hypnotist and Sanguine Statuette? The madness options doesn't look better to be honest.
Seriously, a simple fix would have been to give the card "Sacrific a blood token: Ordric gets one of the above abilities until end of turn."
It makes him viable, ties him into the blood token theme better, and helps give weight to the lore that he is a new vampire and needs blood to perform at his best.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
I love how people are ignoring the MASSIVE amount of flicker present in white. "He only does his thing once!" Not in the decks that I'D build with him. *evil grin intensifies*

Good job, now you have a pile of blood tokens. And now theres only about what, a dozen cards in Crimson Vow that do anything with those. And half of those are black. And half of those you can play are bad for EDH because they're designed as limited filler. So you get to play like 3 blood matters cards in your 99 card commander deck?
I suppose you can make it into a madness or artifacts matters deck? But I would assume there's better alternatives as commanders.

But would flickering him just to produce blood tokens be worth it versus other three drops with similar hit the battle field effects?

I thought about that, but then again, you'll need a keyword soup board, flickering effects (hopefully repeatable) and lots of waysof turningthe Bloodartifactsinto actual value, since by themselves they are just looting and that's just not good enough.
I'll admit I also thought it sounded like a fun challenge at first, but then I looked at the pile of cards I found to try to make it work and then I remembered Toggo exists. Just play him with Akroma, Vision of Ixidor and your experience will be pretty much the same.
I don't get why they did a keyword soup matters Odric again when it was just one aspect of him(his last iteration)(Odric, Lunarch Marshal)
Remember, Odric keyword soup was a representation of his finesse in combat tactics and leadership... Just remember his first card Odric, Master Tactician.
This new version makes no sense both in flavor, gameplay/powerlevel and in fanservice. A total failure. If it was an uncommon in a set like commander legends then it would be understandable but this was printed in a standard set, on the set where he turns into a vampire=becomes more powerfull... What a joke.
I get the feeling that the original design for this actually cared about the blood tokens that it made, but they took that part out at the last minute because of lack of space judging by how his rules text box is already completely full.
I feel like WotC just needs to bite the bullet on cards like this that care about keywords and actually use the term “keyword” in the rules text of these cards rather than giving a long cramped list of every keyword the card cares about.

Odric may have fallen to the curse of vampirism, but he hasn't fallen in the eyes of keyword tribal Commander decks... probably.

Odric, Lunarch Marshal want to know your address
I DO agree that this is a Terrible card, terrible terrible
for the record the first odric had a keywords plus number 2 gives himself those keywords

this is an extremely boring card.
Like, how does Odric not have at least one keyword so you’d get a Blood token when you cast him on an empty board?
I used to be a demigod, but now I'm an omnimage
