The UR signpost uncommon shows a return to instants-and-sorceries-matter, and we get another anti-tribal Cleave spell. The latter might be a member of the same cycle as Lunar Rejection and Rending Flame.
So I assume we'll get a W card that hates on Vampires and a G card that hates on Zombies. Funny enough, both spots can be filledby reprints.
Good catch, though if they want to keep it more in-cycle I think they will go with new cards that either become slightly stronger or slightly less expensive if they target the chosen enemy. And maybe one or both will have cleave too.
That wandering mind seems quite good. It doesn't just have to be instants/sorcery, it will be happy to grab an artifact or enchantment (or PW!) too. Assuming you have a critical mass of the necessary card types in your deck and don't care about wizard/elemental tribal, this is a meaningful upgrade on Cloudkin Seer for decks that can run it.
Black has a long history of dealing damage to creatures. Drain is primary in the color, and you can't exactly make creatures lose life instead. Black dealing damage (instead of life loss) *to players* was the template they recently tried out and decided against because it felt too similar to Red, I guess.
Parasitic Grasp has really nice art, too bad it's on such a relatively narrow hate spell.
Wandering Mind (like many other creatures from Innistrad, to be honest) looks like a Bloodborne enemy. Last set I complained about the lack of Emrakul's lingering influence of the world, but I really like the horrors they've strewn throughout these two sets.
PG artwork is awesome. More of this throwback artwork please.

Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Wandering Mind has performed excellently in Modern so far. Even in RUG Crashing Footfalls with its around 17 targets, it has been a touch inconsistent, but its more consistent card advantage, ability to find stuff better than lands pretty consistently, pitching to Force of Negation, and Flying is appreciated. It performed even better in 4c No Black Blink (that deck has some high-profile wins on MTGO) and my homebrew Scapeshift deck. I have high hopes that my success with Wandering Mind translates to success in others' tournament decks.

Yeah, we've seen that on Essence Extraction before. I guess Parasitic Grasp is strictly better until you hit Dread Fugue or Spell Snare.
