first of all it’s ben eons since we saw a moose on a mtg card second that what I call a budget friendly craterhoof behemoth third probably left overs from emrakuls eldrazis
4/4 for 4 is kinda awkward for mono-green, and it is a very telegraphed finisher, but this is the first one that grants mass haste. I do appreciate the reference to the surprisingly common occurrence of messed-up deer in horror films.
Have a feeling Mono G in Pioneer may fool around with this one.

Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
This is probably my ignorance... but is haste often in green's part of the pie?
Not really, Haste is far more common in white and red.
What universe are you in that white gets haste?

This is objectively false. Green has been secondary in haste for a while now. Look at how many mono green creatures with haste have been printed in the past 10 years. The red and white haste creatures you're seeing are getting haste from being red, not from being white.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
thats a nice rare and i like that fact alot. i think they could have made him mythic and he would still feel mythic.
He's way too basic to be Mythic. Mythic's are meant to be complex cards that feel Mythic. This doesn't, the front side is as basic as they come with a transform ability that is still fairly basic.
Nobody thought haste was strange on questing beast recently, and this is arguably less intimidating (functionally, not visually)
EDIT: Can someone explain why this doesn't also have the creature subtype Elk which exists and is used for other moose-like cards (ie: highland game, Jegantha, etc)?

Really highlights how many people actually don't know the color pie.

question for the commander players how often will the ability to pay eleven mana 4 of witch has to be green for the 8/8 anthem backside the turn it is played for the need for haste on the backside?

Personally, I like cheaper anthems and haste enablers, but 7-mana is nothing on turn 4 or later with so many 1-drop elves (plus archdruid), birds, lotus cobra, gaea's cradle, Omnath, castle garrenbrig, Nissa who shakes the world, leyline of abundance, etc. Keep in mind this can also flip for less or no mana with 'make it night' effects. Either way, it has great art, and at rare will be a nice budget options for newer commander players who don't have easy access to arguably better or more efficient and effective options.
Got a strong eldrazi vibe from the flipped side of this card. 4/4 haste and trample isn't really anything worth wetting your pants over, but if able to flip it watch out.

Questing Beast made the 4/4/4 with haste thing work. Esika's Chariot is stiff competition for the slot though.
I wonder if the confusion comes from a lot of R/W white cards having haste?
