There seems to be a toughness-matters theme in Crimson Moon. This is probably a plant (heh) for Limited, to keep your toughness-6-or-greater creature ready for offense and defense.
too expensive, the turn you put this in play against aggro you are dead basically
Yep. I would consider it for my Pioneer Simic Toughness deck if it were 2G and bump the trigger back to 5 or less and the treefolk then being a 2/5 As this stands its a turn too slow for me.

STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Like many other cards in this set, I like the art much more than the card itself.
I also feel there was a minor oversight and that should be a Treefolk Horror
