Dread Fugue B
Sorcery (U)
Cleave 2B
Target player reveals their hand. You choose a nonland card from it [with mana value 2 or less]. That player discards that card.
Skulking Killer 3B
Creature - Vampire Assassin
When Skulking Killer enters the battlefield, target creature an opponent controls gets -2/-2 until end of turn if that opponent controls no other creatures. Olivia set a few villagers loose in the hedge maze as part of the evening's entertainment.
4/2
The standard pinpoint discard effect of the set starts off as a narrower Inquisition of Kozilek before going full Coercion. With it is a late-draft pick for Vampire tribal decks looking to snipe that one last creature..
Dread Fugue actually seems pretty good. I expect it to see some play, wouldn't be surprised if it even touches into some older formats, albeit competition is obviously fierce. But eg. in Modern there's a lot of decks not running anything over 2 mana anyway due to Lurrus. Missing the likes of Teferi and 3 mana cascade cards is a big deal though, so I can only see it as a role player rather than a main discard spell.
Skulking Killer seems pretty bad, even in limited. Like unless you are playing it T4 it's not going to be easy to even satisfy that requirement, so a lot of the time it's just going to be a 4/2 for 4, even if your opponent only has 1 creature, this might not even kill it, so all in all seems limited filler, but at uncommon it's kind of meh.
can discard early threats, or just be around to discard something big later on.
it's probably just as good as Inquisition of Kozilek at the very least.
The creature is utter garbage.
it can only kill stuff if it's the only thing AND is small.
if that ability doesn't trigger, then it's a vanilla 4/2 for 4 which is simply unplayable everywhere.
at the very least, this needed to be outright destroy a creature..... or trigger every time.
Dread fugue that one is a tough call if it’s eternal playable or not because clearly everyone would rather do the cleave cost but however the non cleave gives quite a bit of the targets in formats are that cmc.
and the creature …wizard………why the hell doesn't it have flash

Yeah, I'm not quite sure whether Dread Fugue is playable in Modern and up or not. On the one hand, we're already pretty happy with Inquisition of Kozilek, partially because it does peg 3-cmc cards like Blood Moon, Archmage's Charm, Kolaghan's Command, Teferi, Time Raveler, and Shardless Agent. On the other hand, turning that IoK into a hella expensive but pain-free Thoughtseize would help. Turn 2 Thoughtseize is a pretty great follow-up to Turn 1 IoK, though, and I don't think Dread Fugue will unseat IoK.
I have a couple of Pioneer decks that want to give Dread Fugue a spin.
