How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
Wedding Announcement: Having to jump through hoops for a no-frills anthem? No thanks.
Demonic Bargain: Allows you to dig ridiculously deep for the cost, but exiling a huge chunk of your library just for one card hardly seems worth it. You don't even get a "you may cast that card" tacked on as a pity prize. I'm sure there's scenarios where it'll shine, but I'll stick to Diabolic Tutor.
Grolnok: I can't help but like this. Gets around graveyard hate by creating a personal exile zone that can't be meddled with. Might get me to finally play a self-mill deck. The Threshold frogs won't work with it, unfortunately. Changelings/Arcane Adaption might be your best bet.
I'm not really getting Wedding Announcement. The card seems really bad to me. The fact you have to transform it means you can't use it as some win con token generator, and it seems way too slow for any aggro deck to want it that is triggering the card draw part.

I don't see what you wanted from Demonic Bargain. You can already cast the card as it goes to your hand, or did you mean for free? The card would be beyond absurd at that point. 3 mana go and get Emrakul and cast it for free? Yer right.
As it is it's mostly a better Grim Tutor for any deck that wants that. Exiling 13 cards is barely even a cost. Grim Tutor isn't particularly great to begin with though. If this shows up it will be in some combo deck as that's the only real type of deck that wants 3 mana tutors.

Not sure if that's the correct way of looking at the Announcement. It's more apt to compare this to History of Benalia, but instead of two 2/2s, you get three 1/1s, also instead of an one-shot +2/+1 boost you get a permanent +1/+1 anthem. There's another caveat to it, of course - if you did curved out with Wedding Announcement, instead of 1/1s you get to draw a card. In the matchups where your opponent did not played any blockers in Turn 1 and 2 (read: usually Control or Midrange) "draw a card" is MUCH better than a token.

No, not for free - "you may cast that card this turn and use mana of any color to play it".
I would still play Grim Tutor over this. Exiling 13 cards to gain one is a price too high for me. Unless you have manipulated your library to the highest possible extent, permanently removing potential answers, threats, and resources from your deck seems VERY rash to me.

The decks that want this don't care about any of that though. They are planning to win the same turn they play this. In constructed the chances of you removing all of say a 4 of in your deck in the top 13 cards are extremely low.

Before Echo of Eons got released, Diminishing Returns saw serious play in Legacy despite that also similarly exiling several cards in the caster's library.
In the meantime, the 3 life loss got so ugly in Legacy (especially in tandem with Ad Nauseam) that Storm decks there eventually ditched Grim Tutor for Wishclaw Talisman, despite the Talisman's lack of flexibility of tutoring time.
Demonic Consultation also isn't leaving Legacy's banlist any time soon despite exiling cards like crazy, and Modern is even willing to play Spoils of the Vault as long as it can absorb the considerable life loss.
The regular art for Dorothea was whatever, but the black and white version? Holy crap, that's a scary ghost!
Also glad to see more art from Sam Guay.
Mechanics-wise, Geistlight Snare and Grolnok tickle my fancy the most. I will probably make an EDH list for Grolnok at some point, but I'm not sure if I'd actually want to play that deck. I don't like decks that heavily rely on their commanders.
Watch, Wedding Announcement (a vampire-themed card) will end up being one of the better human aggro tools. I'm calling it.
Also, looks like they're relabeling the "Promo Pack" promos with "Play Promo" instead. And I guess they're including rares now too? Will have to wait for the other colors.

As someone trying to force a human tribal deck into a standard that doesn't really support it... I guess I hope your right, but I think its going to be to slow, and occupies the point on the curve where aggro wants fewest cards and already has some really great options.

On this week's podcast, the Crimson Vow aftershow has Mark Rosewtaer and Adam Prosak joining the show to talk Crimson Vow design and show some promos.

EDIT: Also previewed here was Savior of Ollenbock's extended-art frame and Dracula art.
Geistlight Snare is Mana Leak if you have a single spirit or enchantment on the field, and with 2 its a Miscast for any spell type.
Fell Stinger also seems super strong. An Altar's Reap on a 3/2 deathtouch body for 1 more mana.
Especially if you want to win with Labman or TO, lol.
Bargain => Bargain => Bargain => Bargain = 52 cards gone from your library.
and it’s… Congradulations frog tribal commander has arrived (you self mill every time a frog attacks so your croaking a bunch of cards.)
excluding the changelings you got 23 frogs to choose from for this deck (the other 8 frogs are black or white)

Also, vampires can live forever, but their marriage will still only last a week.

This is highly inappropriate
Not following--I've heard lots of players say they wish you didn't have to flip it so you could keep drawing cards?

Unless you are really trying hard to play something off color in your own deck, that's just worse than putting the card into your hand.
