We would like to ask the guests to settle down and take their seats. The wedding preview season starts in around 5 minutes after this thread goes up. This post will be updated with new cards as the debut stream progresses. You can view that in the video below.
Meet this set's box toppers.
EDIT: This guy was previewed via the Double Feature cards.
So it looks like "A new artifact token, along the lines of Clue, Food and Treasure" is Blood and "A new mechanic that removes something never removed before" is Cleave, which removes the never-removed-before words in square brackets. (Actually, has a mechanic ever removed words instead of replacing them before?)
I am in love with this set! I want all five versions of Sorin and his regular artwork is becoming my phone background!

Embrace the dark you call a home,
Gaze upon an empty, white throne
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise
Sing with me a song of conquest and fate
The black pillar cracks beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts all alone
Cleave is a really interesting concept but the execution is aestetically terrible.

How i feel about competitive players and casual players in EDH: The competitive are german tourists, the casual are italian tourists, both in a italian beach. The italians asking themselves "why are the germans here?" make a legitimate question, the answer is because the beach is beautiful, no matter the country you came from. The italians wanting to ban the germans are dumb, because if the germans pay for their stay and follow the rules like everyone else, they have the right to be in the beach. Hovewer, if the germans started to ask themselves "why are the italians here?"... they would be dumb as hell.
i love the deck building potential around olvia in edh. not a huge fan of that art though.
not too big of a fan of cleave. remove the words in brackets feels really clunky, and the effect - while only one card so far - feels overcosted. most of them will probably be like this, and one of them will be absolutely busted.
train is kinda meh, mentor was a thing already and it wasn't that exciting
that alternate frame treatment on sorin is really nice. can't wait to see the others.
the dracula secret lair seems extremely low effort.
Thalia is a very nice surprise. Can't say the same about Kaya though, I mean I like her but do we really need another one in Standard? Kaya the Inexorable is a very good Magic card and if it's not seeing much play I doubt a second Kaya is going to be the help Orzhov needs in Standard.
As for mechanics, the "reverse mechanic" is Reverse Mentor, the returning faction mechanic is Exploit and the "remove something never removed before" mechanic is Cleave, which is really cool in theory but I'm not sure if I like the execution here. I dunno, it looks like it's a repurposed Silverquill mechanic with some really iffy flavor.
Wedding Ring is a VERY cool White EDH card. Attaching it to a U or G opponent can give you massive card advantage, and while usually this would be an incentive for the opponent with the ring to start hitting you, he also gets at least one extra card per turn and some incidental lifegain which will also help said opponent stay alive and thus helps you too.
Finally, at the top of "list of legends that I never thought would actually get a card", holy crap Strefan the Fiend is here! (for those unaware, Strefan is a character that afaik was never mentioned in a Magic card before - he was a character exclusive to the D&D crossover "Plane Shift: Innistrad")
Huh. My least favorite mechanic, Disturb, came back, but my favorite mechanic, Decayed, didn't. That's disappointing. Also, weird that spirits are still a DFC tribe in this set, but they get a commander deck when werewolves didn't.
Cleave is super exciting, though. I love those weird looking mechanics that give options, like Aftermath.
Please, mill me. Mill my important cards. Mill my lands. Mill it all. Because I will still deal 20 damage before you can mill 45 cards most every time.

There are enough non-DFC spirits in existence to make an EDH deck (and I would expect VERY few spirits form MID/VOW in that deck). Making a werewolf deck without DFCs, meanwhile, would be borderline impossible (and would be relying really heavily on changelings).
I really wanted to be excited for Crimson Vow but based on these first preview cards spoiled it's all style over substance. Blood artifact tokens feel a bit uninspired which is basically just adding "Pay 1, Tap, Discard a card" to Clue tokens. Only good card spoiled thus far was Overcharged Amalgam which is basically another Nimble Obstructionist for Standard. Glad to see Exploit returning though. Cleave definitely has a lot of potential yet Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro's design team seem to be trying to avoid making the mechanic too broken like what happened with Overloading Cyclonic Rift and Vandalblast.
For the love of God why can't we have another land cycle with basic land types that can be tutored for? Only reason why Ikoria's land cycle sucked was because the lands entered the battlefield tapped. Rot-Tide Gargantua seems like a real shoe in for my Chatterfang, Squirrel General EDH / Commander deck. Turns out Thalia, Guardian of Thraben was the reprint MaRo mentioned in his teaser that would be getting a reprint when I was really hoping for it to be Craterhoof Behemoth instead. Hope more future spoilers turn out better.

As for the vampire representatives, the Falkenrath is clearly Anje, an the Stromkirk simply HAS to be Runo.
I'm thinking your right. I hope they have a cycle of duel colored vampires and he is Dimir, I could see Edgar being Orzhov or Mardu. If all four are legendary examples maybe the Markhov girl is Orzhov and the Voldoran Man is Golgari??? Did Katilda die in story when Olivia attacked she did say Katilda was invited to her wedding. Maybe Katilda is the returning character now as a vampire?

Gameplay-wise are really interesting and plays extremely different from the apparently similar Clue tokens. You can use the discard cost as a resource for many reasons as madness costs, dredge, reanimation purposes, threshold, delirium, delve and so on. That's not what you can do with Clue that simply makes raw card advantage or being artifact friendly matter and nothing more.
Now I officially want the existence of Angel Feather's tokens somewhere, an artifact that simply tap to sacrifice to add 1 life.
That Chandra art is something else damn and while not as pretty her normal art is nice since it has her dressed in an Indian looking dress.

Am I seeing the interaction between Wedding Ring and Consecrated Sphinx correctly? Presumably you'll get to the end of your deck first, drawing two cards at a time and all, but there's no "may" rider: once you've drawn a card on your turn, you can force repeated draws until one of you runs out of cards.
Edit: now I am legitimately curious about how the triggers would stack. You control C. Sphinx and one Ring then draw on your draw step. Your opponent then must draw a card, which allows you to draw two. Does Wedding Ring then put a trigger on the stack for each of your draws, and after the first resolves you draw twice again? Or does it respond to a single event that drew you two cards with one trigger that draws both cards at once? This interaction seems kinda nutty to me.
Second edit: also, isn't it weird that you can force any opponent (who doesn't have hexproof, at least,) to marry you? Granted, this ring isn't legendary, so draw enough copies and you can forcibly marry the whole table (or Megamarry that one blue player who draws a ton.)

What cracks me up is that while Kaya can just bypass the barrier and Sorin kind of owns everything, Chandra being there + her dress means she actually got invited.
It's just hilarious imagining Chandra burninating the eldritch abominations spawned by Emrakul while Olivia, Mobilized for War looks at a distance and thinks "that girl rocks, better make friends with her".

I'm honestly more stoked for this set than Midnight Hunt and OMG THALIA.
Godzilla treatment! HOT DANG.
Cleave...can't wait to make a "cleavage" based deck lol. I'll let myself out.
SUPER SIDE NOTE: I loved those dresses of Becca and the other girl. *fans self*
