I find the Grafdigger's Cage poster card to sound stodgy and boring instead of scary. As over-the-top and exaggerated as Dismember is (IMO, it's the second worst poster card in that Secret Lair, and Grafdigger's Cage is the worst), at least Dismember's text in the poster card looks slightly scary.
Part of me wonders whether the Stranger Things Secret Lair was released first, not just because it fits for Halloween, but also because its characters play Dungeons & Dragons as a pivotal plot point.

to potential eat your words on dismember you are aware that’s Yawgmoth, Thran Physician in the art right?

The art is on point (and, IMO, appropriate) for all 4 poster cards, so text is all that matters in my evaluations of them at this point. I stand by the Dismember poster card's text sounding overblown (the Beast Within and Blasphemous Act poster cards' text look more natural, IMO).
**** partner. If you want to print this cash grab ***** at least don't pollute commander with that
Unfortunately WOTC is very butt hurt over the fact that they do not have final say over format. Hence they keep making cards specifically to mess with it's rules.
And honestly these new cards really are just a middle finger to the player base. They say these will have normal printed versions, but here's the thing. Those prints will be on the list which is about 300 cards that you might get one of for every 4 packs and of those 300 cards there is a heavy amount of cheap chaff cards. They are just making a new kinda mythic that is even harder to get.

What are you talking about? It'll be fun when they create another Reserved list of Magic variants as they fall off The List and there's only a few thousand of them at best. It's a company's dream come true that they can have whales open thousands of packs for just one of these crossover cards.

Didn't they say that the in-universe equivalents will show up in 1 out of every 8 set boosters for Streets of New Capenna?
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Mike not having Venture is a missed opportunity, because it would have been a perfect occasion to get a Venture commander able to incorporate G to the already established Esper build. I love Sefris, but sometimes I'd really like to be able to play Ellywick Tumblestrum or Varis, Silverymoon Ranger...

As someone else pointed out, every 8 set boosters for New Capenna will have one of these cards. Not 1 in 8 packs with cards from the list, 1 in 8 set boosters period (AKA an average set booster box will have 3-4 cards from this selection). All of them will have equal rarity for pulls as well.
If anything, we will be swimming in the mtg versions of these cards. It’s one of the few things that wizards has done right with this whole situation (while it effectively doubles the rarity of everything else on the list, cards from the list have never been a reliable source of reprint equity and this measure makes it much more likely to get an extra rare in your booster on the whole).

exactly these will not be in the %25 rarity and yes you got the math right 30 packs are in these so a average of 3-4 per set booster box
Basicly the rarity of getting one is almost exactly the same as pulling a regular old mythic.

ah blast your right they screwed up on mike not getting “venture into the dungeon”
The in-Magic versions will be available on The List, findable in Set Boosters for as long as players are still interested in opening them. To start, they'll appear on The List more frequently than other cards to make them easier to find. In the future, we may reprint these cards in other products—we'll have that flexibility.
Which sounds they will also appear in sets after New Capenna.

Oh totally, thats must be why Sheldon and the RC and CAG are brought in for most major commander products, consulted on card designs that mess with commander and why there are RC and CAG people who work at wizards.

and if even more popular than that I heard they will go in supplament sets with these
Are we gonna get the walking dead cards also as regular mtg cards? Does anyone know?
They have staunchly refused to commit to making TWD cards to my knowledge and they have specifically stated that the guarantee to reprint all new cards through the list does NOT apply to TWD, though they have maintained that it is possible for them to do so in the future.

Thanks. Innistrad would have been the ideal place though
Something tells me that Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro is going to wait til they have enough Universes Beyond cards from Secret Lairs and other supplemental products before they start reprinting them as in-Magic versions to put in a supplemental set like Commander Pre-Cons or Masters sets. Reprinting them through The List is only going to make these cards much harder to obtain with whales hoarding so much sealed product containing them not to mention how bad the pull rates are. I think you should be guaranteed 1 card from The List in EVERY booster pack more likely in set boosters since pulling them in draft boosters may give players an unfair advantage yet the downside is that it would encourage whales to hoard booster boxes even more If the odds of pulling these cards from The List were that easy.
While we're on the subject I do agree with Tolarian Community College in that while this "chaff" from The List may be good for players looking to make these cards work in EDH / Commander and Pauper it would've been better If they had a better selection of cards to reprint yet they know If they reprint expensive cards to add to The List then it'd make these products more expensive and make the whales happy which they're trying to avoid. They don't really have a one size fits all solution when it comes to reprinting expensive cards without running the risk of catering to whales who hoard these sealed products with these expensive cards just to flip for a profit and a lot of times they don't even know what's in the box they sold or bought from someone else because sometimes the reward outweighs the risk involved.

Okay, let's say it again.
Every Set Booster Box for New Capenna is expected to have 3-4 "magic-ized" Stranger Things Cards (one per 8 set boosters). That is about the rarity of a normal mythic card. For every 3 copies of *Insert 3-color demon mob boss mythic* New Capenna puts in circulation, I would expect between 1 and 2 copies of a magic-ized Will or Mindflayer to be circulating.
While most mythics will technically be more common (as you won't be able to crack this from a Collector/Draft booster), these cards should be more common than something like Lynde in Midnight hunt due to the GREATLY increased pull rate. These will not be rare in the sense that box toppers or expeditions are.
They have staunchly refused to commit to making TWD cards to my knowledge and they have specifically stated that the guarantee to reprint all new cards through the list does NOT apply to TWD, though they have maintained that it is possible for them to do so in the future.
Likely the reason for it being licensing issues cause even MTG variants of TWD cards would require using TWD character names on them and they likely didn't renew the license or whatever goes with that process.
Licensing issues are precisely why it was dangerous for Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro to print mechanically unique cards for various Intellectual Properties (IPs) outside of Magic's Multiverse because it just makes it harder for them to reprint the actual cards set within Magic's Multiverse as If the original printings are a pseudo Reserved List of sorts If there's a problem with said company due to copyright entanglements and license agreements. Since Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro has abruptly parted ways with AMC who owns the official license to The Walking Dead (TV Series) I can see how that'd be a problem when it comes to reprinting The Walking Dead Secret Lair cards within Magic's Multiverse.
The reason why it wasn't as much of an issue for MTG's competitors that have multiple Intellectual Properties (IPs) in one Paper Trading Card Game / Collectible Card Game is because there's not as much demand for reprints as there are in Paper Magic where it needs reprints for the game to stay affordable without turning non-Reserved List cards into highly expensive collectible antiques. You WANT players to have access to game pieces that can actually be played not just to collect akin to the Reserved List itself as Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro has already designed mechanically unique cards that only a few people can actually get a hold of outside of Secret Lair drops that's mentioned on The Magic Historian's YouTube channel.
