Looking it up it seems this a WPN exclusive set (so only in game stores) which to me reads a lot more like something for game stores to buy and use for double feature drafts nights than players to buy and draft at home.

You mean like how Mystery Booster was? Makes sense I suppose. I remember during the height of the pandemic back in Spring 2020, Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro did what they could to distribute Mystery Booster products to non-WPN stores due to how Local Game Stores (LGSs) were really struggling to stay in business. Fast forward to now things have gotten more stable.

While I agree not every product is for everyone, I must ask, who is this product geared towards? The gullible?
A person with particular preferences is not a matter of gullibility. What an odious thing to say...

That person couldn’t just purchase these sets to draft?
That costs more than buying one single box and just drafting it. No spending time figuring out who gets 2 packs of this and one pack of that. No spending extra money buying single packs. No spending extra money buying 2 boxes. Just buy this one box, draft it, done.

Or you don't have to buy a box and you can go to a store with a draft with 2-1/1-2 in the two months before this comes out and after Crimson Vow and skip buying a box entirely.
Hahahahaha that's hilarious. "Go to a store with a draft." Right, because restrictions will be lifted in the next two months, what with delta variant cases on the rise again.

I mean, most stores are doing in-store play now, just with a mask requirement. Drafting in-store is already happening and has been for a while.
But I'm not sure the original comment is useful anyway. Lots of people buy boxes to draft with friends, which seems like the primary market for something like this. Different experience than wanting to go to an LGS. Not to mention we don't know how the set is curated (i.e., are 3 packs of this the same as a 2/1 or totally different), so the draft experience could be pretty different.

Umm....right now Covid in America is starting to dip down again, again, likely will jump up once again thanks to holidays, again, but thanks to the vaccine and masks many stores have reopened. I don't know about yours, but both of mine nearby have reopened earlier this year and hold game nights on the regular.
If you can't go to the store you could just buy a few packs from your store and do a draft in your home. You still don't need to buy a box to do a draft.

If they are buying multiple boxes than one of each Innistrad 3 to facilitate both sets will have been possible for two months before this product. Again, this product adds nothing that you couldn't already do before it came out.
Block drafts were a thing and players didn't need a separate product to make it happen. All WotC is doing here is selling you the same stuff again 2-4 months after they came out. Don't get swindled.

There are no restrictions here (Denmark) anymore and in store gaming (including draft) has started again at the largest chain this week.

I don't think you're getting my point. You can now draft both sets with only one box. You may not have bought a box of either stand-alone set, but you can now buy one box with cards from both. I'm not sure we know (do we?) if ALL the cards from both sets will be in the double-feature packs or if they're selected for a tighter drafting experience, but I can see benefits and drawbacks for either. But yeah, I'm not sure why you see this as some third product people who already bought the other two sets are getting instead of seeing it as an alternative to the other two.
Frankly, I'm not honestly sure how you can get "swindled" into buying something you want; someone who buys this is voluntarily handing over their money, for whatever reason. No one NEEDS this (or any MtG cards, for that matter), but it might be a good option for a certain demographic. And if it's truly an underwhelming experience it won't sell well, and they might not do it again.
